Week 9 Recap – Two weeks left to go, Playoff races and Awards races heat up!

I assume most of you are paying attention to the NFL off-season. It’s always a fun time of the year and I’m already excited for next season.

Marcus Peters to the Rams. Aqib Talib to the Rams. Michael Bennett to the Eagles. Torrey Smith to the Panthers. Is it just me, or does the NFC continue to get better and the AFC just continuously gets stuck in never ending contract discussions with running backs?

Although, the Browns did land Jarvis Landry and Tyrod Taylor. Man, do I feel bad for them. From what I have read as well, they aim to draft Baker Mayfield and Saquon Barkley. THAT would be interesting.

There’s still a lot left to happen and some big names available including Allen Robinson, Kirk Cousins and Richard Sherman, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Robinson in the Bay area and Sherman on another NFC squad. But, we’ll see. Hopefully all of your teams are making the right moves in the offseason. I have to look forward to drafting Nick Chubb who should be outstanding for us. We’ve taken defensive backs the last few years, so it’s great to see us improve our front seven.

Aside from that, I very much look forward to the NHL playoffs every year. I envision almost a repeat of last year, but give me Tampa Bay in the East over the Penguins in the East Final. Nashville looks poised to return as well, but the Wild and Jets look to be their biggest competition. I think those two may end up playing each other in the first round, so either team may be too beat up moving forward.

Finally, it’s a great time of the year for FPF too. Conversations swirl around the awards and the playoffs and it’s fun to predict if teams will continue to dominate or crack under pressure. Will under dogs rise to the occasion or will experienced groups get hot at the right time?

When it comes to the awards, I should reiterate, that those who I have highlighted last week and the players you will see highlighted in this article as well are purely picks based on my own opinion. I believe I may actually get a vote this year, but the winners are far from my decision and a lot can change in two games! Also, apologies if the stats were not up to date. My goal for this week was to finish the article by Friday night so that everything was consistent. Hopefully by the time I finish writing I succeed.

I’ll conclude with a few more random thoughts for the week as it can be a fun way to rapid fire a few unrelated things on my mind.

  • Huge thank you to Rocco Christiano and Sydney Gage for helping us out on the Mavericks this past week. I had a game in Lachine at 8pm and then Mavericks at Loyola at 9pm and they stepped in and gave us a chance to win.
  • I get a lot of people writing to me to discuss my picks for the awards or to talk about the players of the week. Whether we agree or not, I love it.
  • Sterdam we’re dangerous before. Now they can win with either William or Sidney at QB, scary.
  • In Division 5A, there’s a huge jam for the final 4 playoff spots between 8 teams, all within 1 win from each other. Give me Buffalo Wild Wings, 10 Guys One Cup, Mud Dogs and Mavericks. I may be biased on that last one. I just think that the schedule is too difficult for Bobby’s Boys, Dope Boys, Rednecks and Warriors. Prove me wrong!
  • Division 5B is a little a little bit more spread out. It looks like Super Saiyans, Green Lantern Corps and Team Y.S. will fight for the last spot. Give me Goku & co. due to experience, ease of schedule and tie breaker.
  • In the other Conferences, playoff pictures are relatively set unless we see teams falter.
  • I tend to share the belief that society in general is getting way too sensitive.
  • I had no clue that some players film a lot of their games, is this more common than I thought? It seems like a great idea.
  • Finally, looking forward to another great week. Missing my game with the Bandits to try and get the Mavericks into the playoffs!

See you guys at the field!

Week 9 – Recaps

Division 5A

Half A-Stars vs. Mud Dogs

Definitely an evenly fought match, Half A-Stars took advantage of a few turnovers to keep the lead and never look back. The game started with a TD on the Half A-Stars opening drive but the Mud Dogs came right back to score a TD of their own and get the extra point to go up 7-6. Andrew Langburt, QB for the Half A-Stars, is very good at using his feet to extend plays. He utilizes hooks and slants and has his receivers sit in zones and because the play is going on for a long time, lanes open up. Marc-Antoine Jette for the Mud Dogs has a similar style to myself actually – he likes to get the ball out quick with good route concepts and let his receivers do some work after the catch.

On their second drive of the game, Langburt ran to his right and hit a quick out for the touchdown. I should mention, if you are reading this to scout either team, that the Half A-Stars go for two on almost every attempt, or at least they did in this game. After scoring their 2 to go up by 7, Jette threw an interception on his second attempt to give the ball back to Half A-Stars. After a TD to Aj Rashkovan, Mud Dogs were able to move down the field and keep the game close with another TD. Unfortunately for them, Rashkovan scored again with 1 play left in the half to put the score to 28-13 at half.

On the Mud Dogs next drive, they were able to score a 40 yard catch and run by Olivier Laberge, however if you ask me, the rusher had sacked the QB. The call could have gone either way, but low and behold, Mud Dogs found themselves only down 8 early in the second half. To improve their situation, they were able to stop Half A-Stars at the goal line on the next drive on downs and looked poised to make it a game. As karma would have it for the non-call earlier, and due to the fact that Mud Dogs started on their 1 yard line, Rashkovan came up with a huge safety to make the score 30-20 and that’s how it would end.

It was a great game by two solid teams and a few mistakes cost Mud Dogs the game. Half A-Stars did not do anything spectacular but held onto the ball for long periods of time and were able to prevail. The game didn’t do much to solidify the playoff hopes for Mud Dogs, but the Half A-Stars are firmly in control, sitting 4th in the  Conference.

Bobby’s Boys vs. Dope Boys

It’s almost as if the Dope Boys have fielded two different teams this season. They have had a lot of potential and have capitalized a few times, but sometimes they just simply don’t come ready to play. Spoiler alert – It burned them in this one. They arrived late to start the game which led to Bobby’s Boys starting the game up by 6. Other than that, Dope Boys actually came to play. The difference in this one was Giancarlo Brullo who finished with 7 sacks. 7. Probably the most I have ever seen in a game. Can I get a record check?

Up by 12 at half time was enough for Bobby’s Boys in this one. They traded scores in the second half a few times until Dope Boys pulled within 8 points with about 2 minutes left. To make matters worse, Matt Petrone received a UR penalty for pushing their receiver out of bounds. In comes Alex Apostolakis who actually bobbled the snap, resulting in a safety. Almost as if Bobby’s Boys were trying to lose. Down by 6 and a chance to win, Eric Lalonde just couldn’t get the drive started as he threw a pick to Anthony Dasilva on the first play of the drive with 5 plays left.

Petrone had a solid game and Anthony Da Silva was key, but the player of the game in this one was definitely Giancarlo Brullo who made Lalonde’s life hell in the backfield. It’s a huge win for Bobby’s Boys because it puts them in playoff contention and leaves Dope Boys on the outside looking in. It will take a lot now for Dope Boys to win a spot. We’ll see if Bobby’s Boys on the other hand can keep things rolling, however they have an extremely tough last two games against Greendale Human Beings and 10 Guys, One Cup.

Division 5B

Team Y.S. vs. Browns De Boucherville

I don’t necessarily like the idea of covering a blow out, but I’ve decided to go ahead in order to showcase the talent on Team Y.S. While the Browns haven’t had the greatest season, this game was a showcase of the athleticism and talent of Team Y.S. when they can put everything together. After all, coming into this one, Team Y.S. was 3-4 while the Browns we’re winless. Not exactly a 1st place vs. last place game.

Alexandre Fafard did his best to use his legs and try to keep Team Y.S. on their heels, however ultimately they were able to sack him a total of 4 times which significantly affected his yards total. He had almost scored a running touchdown after breaking a few tackles but just barely stepped out of bounds. Their only touchdown came on a deep ball that eluded the Team Y.S. db in the back of the end zone. On the other side of the ball, Rayan Mehzoudi did a great job utilizing the deep ball and throwing it up for his group of receivers to make plays – and they definitely made a few.

Overall, the Browns merry go round of QBs could not string anything productive together and the athleticism of Team Y.S. simply got to them. Sebastian Lopez Oieni stood out with 3 picks, Anthony Sotomayor had one of his own that he returned to the house and Nykolas Pierre-Masse had an outstanding game both on offence and defence. He even went in at QB and threw for a TD. We’ll chat with him later.

Ultimately, while the Browns won’t see the playoffs, Team Y.S. are in a multi-team battle for the final playoff spot. Will they make it for their first season in the league? They have the talent to do so, but I worry that may not be enough. Even if they win out, they are not in complete control of their own destiny and need some help.

Moss City vs. Dawson Caf’s Finest

It’s never a good sign to check the stat sheet after a game and see three QBs. It’s usually a sign that things aren’t going too well and that was the case here. Dawson Caf’s Finest struggled early and often in this one. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now, I’m not sure why George Spano is not their permanent QB. On defence, they just simply could not find an answer for Bruno Provencher of Moss City and we’ll get to chat with him later.

Moss City scored on all 4 of their drives in the opening half, going up 26-0 at halftime. It was clear that they took their foot off the pedal in the second half and the game was much closer, with Dawson Caf’s Finest only touchdown coming on a nice run by Nick Lombardi. On the  other side, Arno Desjardins on Moss City only needed to complete 14 passes which resulted 223 yards. He was not shy about going deep and doing it often.

Dawson Caf’s Finest have had a string of good play throughout the season, but ultimately they have not been consistent and will most likely miss the playoffs. Moss City are on the opposite end of things, coming off victories against the Mogadishu Pirates, Takeover and Sterdam, they look to be a contender in this Division.

Power Rankings

Division 5A

  1. Greendale Human Beings (8-0) – Their record hasn’t changed since my last article, neither has their ranking..
  2. Smokin’ Axolotls (7-1) – Another team who stays put as they have not played another game.
  3. Longhorns (7-1) – Back on track after a loss in Week 7.
  4. Grand Lionel (8-1) – Second team to get their 8th win, they’ve looked impressive.
  5. Ghosts (6-2) – Nothing new to add this week, solid, well-rounded team.
  6. Preachers (7-2) – Talented group, but they always tend to keep their games close. They would move up if they had more dominant performances.
  7. Hot Boys Hotline (7-2) – Talented and athletic but have been beaten by top teams. They have the group to win it all if they can keep it together.
  8. Finessers (6-2) – They squeeze in, but this final spot could be a toss up between them and Half A-Stars, I keep flip flopping. We’ll see how Half A-Stars do in their final matchup.

Division 5B

  1. Wrecking Crew (8-0) – No change here.
  2. Takeover (6-1-1) – Just got their 6th win. They don’t look to have any weaknesses unless you catch them off their game.
  3. Sterdam (6-2) – How many QBs can they use to beat you? This is my most intriguing team, could easily win it all.
  4. Falcons (6-2-1) – Offense is explosive and one of the best in the Division. Can their Defense keep up?
  5. Funboys (6-2) – No movement here. It would be shitty to move them without having payed a game since last article.
  6. Moss City (5-2-1) – They have been on quite the run and have beaten two teams above them in the rankings. I may regret the decision to leave them at 6.
  7. Blue Team (5-2-1) – You can copy/paste what I said last week, basically.
  8. TDs and Beer (5-2-1) – As it stands now, they can be swapped with Blue Team. Same record, similar amount of fear when playing them.

Awards Race

Division 5A

QB of the Year

Jarryd Taylor – Hurricane SZN – 115/192, 59.9%, 1521 yards, 38 TDs, 7 INTs, 109.4 QBR

Danny Aylward – Greendale Human Beings – 139/189, 73.5%, 1585 yards, 45 TDs, 7 INTs, 122.5 QBR

Jon Moodie – Longhorns – 132/212, 62.3%, 1640 yards, 41 TDs, 3 INTs, 119.9 QBR

Both Jon Moodie and Danny Aylward had performances this week to help their case. All things considered, if Aylward continues to lead in TDs and QBR, it would be difficult to give the award to anybody else.

WR of the Year

Nicolas Saro – Preachers – 45 catches, 618 yards, 16 TDs

Brandon Aylward – Greendale Human Beings – 41 catches, 537 yards, 18 TDs

Alexandre Bachaalani – Finessers – 34 catches, 537 yards, 16 TDs

All 3 had underwhelming games this past week but put up big TD numbers. Alex Joltopuf leads the league in catches with 1 fewer game played. Will that end up hurting him in the end? This race is a close one folks.

Defensive Player of the Year

Daron Migdesyan – 10 Guys, One Cup – 39 tackles, 2 INTs, 2 PD

Chris Brockwell – Smokin’ Axolotls – 30 tackles, 4 INTs, 4 PDs

Matthew Petrone – Bobby’s Boys – 21 tackles, 8 INTs, 9 PDs

Olivier Laberge – Mud Dogs – 22 tackles, 7 INTs, 8 PDs

Vladimir Pirrus – Warriors – 3 tackles, 12 sacks, 5 PDs

Added Vladimir due to the fact he is leading the league in sacks and also has 5 PDs. The question here will be if tackles are valued more than INTs. I personally prefer well-rounded defenders. High tackle total doesn’t always mean you stand out. It can mean teams like to pick on you. This battle is between Petrone and Laberge for me, although Petrone is in the running for two-way as well.

Two-Way Player of the Year

Brandon Aylward – Greendale Human Beings – 41 catches, 537 yards, 18 TDs, 19 tackles, 6 INTs, 7 PD

Daniel Lazarra – 10 Guys, One Cup – 28 catches, 380 yards, 9 TDs, 12 tackles, 5 INT, 10 PDs, 1 Def. TD

Ryan Kharouf – Finessers – 108/193, 1410 yards, 33 TDs, 3 INTs, 19 tackles, 5 INTs, 7 PDs

Olivier Laberge – Mud Dogs – 33 catches, 409 yards, 9 TDs, 22 tackles, 7 INTs, 8 PDs

Andrew Langburt – Half A-Stars – 142/220, 1415 yards, 32 TDs, 6 INTs, 17 tackles, 5 INTs, 10 PDs

Probably the most difficult award to agree on, this one could go in any direction. Does it go to a QB snub who was solid defensively all year? Or does it go to the best WR in the league potentially? Maybe somebody more well rounded like Lazarra or Laberge? All that I know is that all of these guys can ball.

Division 5B

QB of the Year

Pat Lefebvre – Falcons – 147/243, 1775 yards, 43 TDs, 13 INTs, 100.2 QBR

Stephen Harripersaud – Wrecking Crew – 143/210, 1383 yards, 38 TDs, 7 INTs, 112.0 QBR

Ian Einheiber – Takeover – 154/247, 1559 yards, 42 TDs, 8 INTs, 106.4 QBR

Stephane Larosiliere – Black Knights – 137/220 – 1635 yards, 36 TDs, 6 INTs, 113.2 QBR

Is Stephen Harripersaud failing out of the race? Will the fact that his team is undefeated play a factor? Larosiliere has been added as he has been playing well as of late and currently has the best QBR in the league, but his TD total may be too low. If I had to choose, I’d go with Einheiber as his stats are the most well rounded and should be leading the league in TDs after Week 10.

WR of the Year

Raphael Ducas-Lapalme – Falcons – 44 catches, 556 yards, 16 TDs

Junior Spera – Punishers – 51 catches, 540 yards, 11 TDs

Anthony Siggia – Punishers – 51 catches, 497 yards, 11 TDs

William Power – Takeover – 55 catches, 498 yards, 14 TDs

Nykolas Pierre-Masse – Team Y.S. – 45 catches, 559 yards, 11 TDs

Nykolas Pierre-Masse added himself to the list with a huge game this week. The race is much tighter now as none of the other 4 receivers really did much in their most recent game. This one should really come down to the final two. I give the edge currently to either Power or Ducas-Lapalme. Power because of how much he means to his team and they have been successful and Ducas-Lapalme because of his overall dominant stat line.

Defensive Player of the Year

Dominic Couture – Falcons – 48 tackles, 5 INTs, 6 PDs

Kevin Legoute – Retired All-Stars – 20 tackles, 5 INTs, 6 PDs, 1 Def. TD

Michael Café – Black Knights – 27 tackles, 4 INTs, 3 PDs

Anthony Siggia – Punishers – 26 tackles, 7 INTs, 5 PDs, 1 Def. TD

Alex Lutfy – Mogadishu Pirates – 19 tackles, 4 INTs, 3 PDs, 2 Def. TDs

Lutfy is my late addition, and it’s too bad he’s only played 6 games. In my opinion, this is a two man race between Siggia and Couture. Siggia just had a big game and should close out strong. He just means so much to his team defensively and rarely doesn’t fill up the state sheet. Couture is putting up a solid case though also.

Two-Way Player of the Year

Anthony Siggia – Punishers – 51 catches, 555 yards, 14 TDs, 26 tackles, 7 INTs, 5 PDs, 1 Def. TD

Dynell Pierre – Black Knights – 27 tackles, 431 yards, 13 TDs, 19 tackles, 4 INTs, 5 PDs

Rayan Mehzoudi – Team Y.S. – 109/210, 1410 yards, 33 TDs, 10 INTs, 21 tackles, 4 INTs, 3 PDs

Sidney Tremblay-Lacombe – Sterdam – 82/135, 1014 yards, 26 TDs, 5 INTs, 390 yards rushing, 5 TDs,10 tackles, 5 INTs, 8 PDs

If Siggia does not win WR of the year, this one is his to lose. When you look at his offensive dominance and consider that he leads the league in interceptions as well on defence, how could he not have your vote? 6th in tackles as well, you would think that opposing teams would know to avoid this guy.

“You ball, You get the call”

Another week in the books, another group of guys that stood out. A few guys are starting to make the list two to three times, which is impressive. As the playoffs get closer, hopefully guys who are in the running for awards start to separate themselves from the pack. I ask a few of them about unsung heros on their respective squads as I think every team has a few that don’t fill up their stat sheet, but are crucial to victory. Let’s see what these guys had to say.

Division 5A

Texas Baremanz – Jaylan Grandison – 15/23, 207 yards, 5 TDs, 1 tackle, 1 INT, 1 PD

You guys just beat a very good team in a close game, what helped you guys finish them off?

Just to give you a little perspective this was a big rivalry game, a lot of people were in attendance and both teams came out hungry for “The battle of Texas”. Perseverance played the biggest role in that win. We were down most of the game but never lost confidence. We made the decision to punt with less two minutes left down 5 points. I knew we’d pick off Jarryd sooner or later which ultimately happened and allowed us to march down and take the lead with 3 plays left.

From what I know, you have a few guys new to FPF. Has it been difficult adjusting to new players?

There’s been minimal difficulty adjusting to the new guys. It helps that we’re in Year 4 of our system and we’ve learned the hard way of what works and doesn’t work in this. I recruited the athletes that fit our system, all I asked from them was to buy in.

Who has been the unsung hero on your team this year?

I would have to say that our unsung heroes are Dariusz and Tequan, you won’t catch them stuffing the stat sheet much but those guys are my bulls. They terrorize the flats and routinely make plays for us in key moments. It’s Dariusz’s first year in fpf and I’m impressed with how fast he’s come along with being aware of what offenses are trying to do to us. As for TQ, he’s a seasoned veteran. I’m impressed with how well he’s transitioned from his WR1 role in previous years to striving in his current role as defensive stalwart.

Greendale Human Beings – Alex Joltopuf – 11 catches, 127 yards, 3 TDs, 2 tackles, 1 INT

3rd Times a charm. After having a good game, is getting stuck answering questions from me in the back of your mind?

I’m used to flying under the radar more so this is still something I’m getting used to! I didn’t think I had that big of a game until I saw the stats. So it’s a pleasant surprise !

You’re in the running for WR of the year. What would the award mean to you?

I’m not too focused on the award but it would be pretty cool. The last time I got it was my first season in div 6 and an argument could have been made that most of my yards and TDs were made during the final minutes of most games. The team went 1-9 so to potentially win the award on a contending team would be pretty epic !

You guys won a championship in Division 6 last year, what do you need to do to win in Division 5 this time around?

I think we need to stay alert and not get complacent. Our recipe hasn’t changed much so execution is key. We’ve had an easier schedule than most so we need to stay grounded and do our research!

Longhorns – Jon Moodie – 17/21, 249 yards, 6 TDs

Longhorns –Adam Rosen – 4 catches, 118 yards, 2 TDs, 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT, 1 PD

(Speaking to Jon)

Back on track with a statement win. What went wrong last week?

Not sure what happened there. Just got beat by a better team, I guess.

Adam Rosen had a big game on both sides of the ball for you guys. What does he bring to the table each week?

Adam has been with us for a couple years now. He’s learned a lot and his game has really improved. As an all around player, I consider him one of the best in this division. He’s young, has speed and has a great pedigree! He would probably be a top receiver if he could make all the games. Great player, nice young man. He is certainly an asset to the team.

Who would you say are the unsung heros on Longhorns?

Unsung heroes… Everyone has their own role to play and I really believe each player brings something to the game and helps the team come together. Lloyd Saul seems to always make the right play at crucial times. He always steps up to the plate.

Pigeon Squad – Kevin St-Pierre – 8 catches, 107 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT

As a teammate on Gators, it’s great to finally feature you on the article. How did you have so much success this week?

Yeah Im really happy to be featured in your article as well! I think that our offence in the last few weeks has been able to step up. Communication with my qb was a huge key to my success as he knew where I would be open and he made sure I was getting these particular routes.

You hold the last playoff spot in the Conference. Does that add any pressure for your last two games?

It is some pressure but most of our losses came against really great teams and we are confident as a team in our abilities to make the playoffs. We are trying to win one game at a time first.

You often play on 3 teams and this year is no different. Has that been difficult to manage?

This season has been more difficult because of my new job, I missed a few games, but most of the tine getting games in the same days gave me the opportunities to play in more teams!

Division 5B

Tip Top Shape – David De Andrade – 14/19, 240 yards, 7 TDs, 2 tackles, 1 INT, 1 PD

Definitely your best game of the season, and you have thrown 12 TDs and 0 interceptions in the past two games. Has something changed for you late in the season?

It was a great offensive performance! We pretty much gave up on the playoffs and decided to just have fun. It really helped to take off some pressure. We also made a few adjustments. Chemistry is finally setting in. And maybe out schedule was a bit harder earlier in the season. But I do believe we could have beaten any team we played against but we made way to many mistakes in the first half of the season and fell short of the W’s.

With two games left and chances being slim that you make the playoffs, what drives you guys?

I think our chances are actually zero at this point. But like i previously said, we just want to have fun. Score some TDs, make some pics, and prove that we are much better than our record.

What have you learned that you can take into next season?

Practice makes perfect. It’s our 3rd season and each season we change personnel a lot. But it’s the only season where we did not have some pre-season games and it definitely shows. Timing took time to set in, the routes were sometimes a bit off, the defensive zones had some holes. A lot of it could have been fixed in pre-season. But we didn’t take the time.

Team Y.S. – Nykolas Pierre-Masse – 4 catches, 87 yards, 3 TDs, 2 tackles

We spoke week 1 and you mentioned that you wanted to compete for WR of the year. You just had a huge game and now lead the league in yards. What has to happen in your last 2 games for you to lock in the award?

I think in need to stay on the same track in terms of yards per game to continue leading the division in yards but if I want a realistic shot at the award I also need a considerable increase in my Touchdown numbers in the next few games which will be relatively difficult as I am far from the biggest redzone threat on our roster. Anyway, that is not really what I am focused on as we are currently 100% focused in clinching a playoff spot.

You guys have had an up and down season, where some weeks you look unstoppable and then others where things don’t go as well. What’s been your biggest challenge personally and as a team?

My biggest personal challenge has been to call the right plays offensively and to make sure to keep doing so throughout the game regardless of how heated I might get at different moments of the game. I would say that as a team our biggest challenge has been consistency, and confidence. We are new to this league and there are many things we are picking up each week as the season progresses, but we can’t let that allow us to play without our competitive edge and arrogance, which are our biggest strenghts, when we are facing more experienced FPF team’s.

Will you make the playoffs?

I firmly believe that if we win out, we have a firm chance at clinching a playoff spot. Unfortunately, that doesn’t fully depend on us anymore as even if we pull that off, the current stats show that the two teams over us need to atleast loose once or catch up to us in PA. Therefore we are just focused on our own games and on what we can personaly impact as a team, and come playoff time, if we’re in the mix, I assure you, we’ll defintely make a splash.

Sterdam – William Tremblay-Lacombe – 14/19, 172 yards, 5 TDs, 3 tackles

You and Sidney have had a lot of success so far, but in opposite roles. Should opponents prepare for both you and Sidney at QB?

Nous allons alterner dans les prochains matchs, donc ils devront se préparer pour nous deux.

Which do you prefer playing, QB or WR?

Pour le moment, je suis plus à l’aise comme WR, mais j’aime les deux positions.

You guys can win in different ways, obviously. What’s been your greatest challenge as a team this year?

On a joué contre de bonnes équipes qui nous ont données de bons matchs. Par contre, le plus gros challenge est d’avoir tous nos joueurs à chaque match. Quand l’équipe est complète, on est très difficile à battre.

Moss City – Bruno Provencher – 5 catches, 118 yards, 4 TDs

As the leading receiver on Moss City, are you the most like Randy Moss? Is that where the name comes from?

We definintely choose the name because of Randy Moss, we try to impersonate his style on the field in every game we play. I wouldn’t say I’m close to 84 but I’m the tallest receiver on the team so I might be closer that my teammates ahah

You guys have been quietly putting together a very nice season, beating top teams like Sterdam and Takeover. What’s the secret to your success?

We found our groove around the 4th game, we had a new QB and our timing was a little bit off, but now we are all on the same page. On defense we really stepped up with Oliver and Sifax making big plays when needed.

You caught more than 50% of Arno’s passes and 4 out of 5 of his TDs. What was different this game as it was easily your best of the season?

I had a great connection with Arno and we saw the same holes in our opponent’s defense so it went really well. My teammate Ben De Tilly really opened the field for me. He didn’t have any catch but he was a good team player.

Black Knights – Stephane Larosiliere – 16/20, 297 yards, 8 TDs

Black Knights – Charles Rousseau-Belanger – 5 catches, 161 yards, 4 TDs

I have been talking about you guys a lot this year because of how much potential this team has. What explains the inconsistent season?

Probably the best game by a QB and WR so far this season. What made it work so well this week?

It seems like you have so many weapons that every week somebody new shines. Does that make things easy or is it difficult to make everybody happy?

Stephane – personnes ne se plaint. Tout le monde suis la même direction. On veut juste gagner.
