Jeremy Steinberg shone as the star quarterback, completing 17 of 23 passes for 235 yards and throwing an impressive 8 touchdowns. Andrew Steinberg led the receiving corps, catching 11 passes for 138 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Steinberg duo has been on an absolute tear this season, connecting for 38 receptions, 489 yards and 15 touchdowns through only 4 games played together. Andrew Steinberg is on pace for 86 receptions, 1,100 yards and 34 touchdowns in 9 games since the star receiver already missed a game.
Pack is Back 32 – 20 Big Fat Panini
Sam Anastasopoulos exhibited an efficient performance, going 18 for 20 for 198 yards and 5 touchdowns, leading Pack is Back to a victory. Keyon Cyrus and Peter Berts were major contributors, totalling 5 touchdowns and each producing 60 yards. For Big Fat Panini, Daniel Curiale struggled under pressure, throwing for 124 yards with 3 touchdowns but adding 3 interceptions. Curiale found success connecting with AJ Zeppetelli who managed 7 receptions, 69 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Super Troopers 31 – 6 PracticeSquad II
The Super Troopers’ defence held strong, limiting PracticeSquad II to just 6 points. Kenny Boutilier was a dual threat, throwing for 3 touchdowns, while also rushing for 89 yards on 10 attempts and adding 2 rushing touchdowns. Super Troopers are a dark horse team that I’ve thought about when discussing the top 15 ranked teams.
Ball So Hard University 37 – 18 Pack a Punch
Vincent Rousseau had a standout game for Ball So Hard University, completing 14 of 21 passes for 214 yards and 6 touchdowns. Charles Montpetit was a key target, hauling in 4 touchdowns. Michael De Seta did his best for Pack a Punch, throwing for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns but was unable to overcome the offensive firepower of their opponent.
Super Troopers 18 – 0 Vidanges FFC
The Super Troopers displayed their defensive prowess again in the same night, shutting out Vidanges FFC. Kenny Boutilier continued his solid play, throwing for another 3 touchdowns while displaying his dual threat versatility. Boutilier got his team back to back wins despite only totalling 171 passing yards on the night, likely a combination of great field position from defensive turnovers and his rushing ability. Super Troopers are no longer on the outside looking in, they have earned their spot in the power rankings.
Les Flagouilleurs 41 – 0 Bum City
Les Flagouilleurs put on a clinic against Bum City, showcasing a dominant offensive and defensive display. Quarterback Alex Poitras threw for 187 yards and an impressive 6 touchdowns, with Andrew Poitras and Gabriel Wiseman each snagging two touchdowns. The defence held Bum City to zero points, underscoring their potential as serious contenders by cleaning up any defensive struggles they were facing early on that resulting in a 0-4 start to their season. They have now won three out of their last four games, the division is put on notice and warned.
Bullshigh 62 – 0 YUL
Bullshigh delivered an astonishing performance against YUL, with quarterback Nikolas Mitrovic throwing for 129 yards and 6 touchdowns, while Olivier Guérin made his presence felt with 3 touchdowns on 3 receptions for 41 yards. Their defence was impenetrable, forcing turnovers and preventing YUL from scoring, which was exacerbated by the absence of YUL’s star quarterback, Eryck Laframboise. His absence left YUL struggling offensively, and this decisive victory solidified Bullshigh’s position as a contender in the division.
In N’ Out 26 – 6 Black Shinobi 2
In N’ Out secured a solid victory over Black Shinobi 2, with quarterback Nicolas Katerelos leading the charge with 151 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. The defence played a crucial role, limiting the opposition to just 6 points, showcasing a balanced team effort.
Pasta Arrabiat 25 – 24 Gooners
Pasta Arrabiat narrowly edged out Gooners in a thrilling matchup that came down to the wire. Carmelo Di Giovanni threw for 134 yards and 4 touchdowns, leading his team to victory in a match defined by fierce competition and clutch performances. Particularly by Joe Morgese tallying 7 receptions for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns and Marlon Pace with 2 sacks and an extra point that ended up giving his team the edge for a victory.
Les Studz 34 – 31 In N’ Out
In a high-scoring showdown, Les Studz came out on top against In N’ Out. Philippe Gélinas led the way with 4 touchdown passes, while Katerelos threw for an impressive 210 yards and 5 touchdowns in a losing effort. The game highlighted the offensive power of both teams.
