Week 4 Rankings/Week 5 Picks and Super Bowl food and pick

Peeze’s Playbook

Week 4

The Super bowl has arrived good friends! It is simultaneously the best and worst Sunday of the year.  This validates a season long’s worth of watching games, gambling, fantasy football, DFS and all levels of toxicity that football Sunday’s have been injected into our systems.

So a full football season has finally culminated into one final Sunday.  At the end of a single game we will be able to crown the king of the mountain. Along the way we will have an array of snacking foods and drinks for which the event has become famous.  On my end we’re rocking pulled pork sandwiches with purple cabbage coleslaw and Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, Chicken Wings, Hot Dogs, Fries, Mac and Cheese, and way too many trays of my mom’s doughnuts! I’ve also got a keg that’s loaded and ready for 6:30 pm!

However, at about midnight tonight sadness will creep in.  I will feel terrible for how much I’ve eaten and drank, I will have made the realization that there will be no more football for months and that I need to go to work in the morning.  This triumverent of sadness will no doubt weigh heavily on my psyche.

The game itself looks like it will be a great one.  Some narratives have started to drive me crazy.  For example, it isn’t Jimmy Garropolo’s fault that only 8 pass plays were called last game.  He actually averages 26 pass attempts a game and has a passer rating of over 100 when trailing in the fourth quarter.

There are those that believe that the 49ers defence will be far too much for the Chiefs to handle.  Yet, Pat Mahomes has so rarely been slowed all season and playoff long.  For a moment it did seem as though the Titans were giving Mahomes a headache in their second playoff game.  However, there was a moment where it looked as though it clicked for Pat Mahomes and he understood what the Titans were trying to do and in that same moment that Kermit the Frog sounding SOB just flipped a switch and dominated the rest of the game.

The Chiefs have a bad run defence.  We saw the 49ers whip the horribly incompetent Packers defence last week and it was done almost uniquely on the ground (except for when I needed the Vikings Mike Boone to put up 13 fantasy points…but I digress) However, despite a bad start the Chiefs have actually been a better overall and run defence to end the season and into the post-season.

All this to say, I think it will be a good, competitive and decently high scoring game.  Bet the over because cheering against points is the lamest thing in the world.  Give me the Chiefs by double digits (after a late score).  Enjoy the game folks.

Power Rankings

Each division has its front runners and here is our team of writers breaking down the front-runners in each division.  This will start to get really interesting after this week as teams will have different amounts of games played due to the Super Bowl bye.  Here it is folks:

Division 6D

By Ignacio Valdez Manzanedo

1. Trojans (4-0): One month into the season and this team hasn’t given up their crown atop the Power Rankings. What more can I say than what I’ve already said? Fafard has thrown 17 TD’s and 0… ZERO interceptions so far, completing 75% of his passes… just insane! Oh, and he’s rushed for a division-high 233 yards and 5 scores on the ground. Not to be outdone, their defense is doing damage to opposing quarterbacks, with Jo Benoit, and brothers Maxime and Nicolas Curotte all having 3 interceptions to set up Farfard with extra possessions. The receiving threats come from duo Guilaume Bolduc and Matthieu Pilotte, combining for 281 yards and 9 TD’s. One of the teams that may be able to de-throne Trojans are right behind them, but it’s still Trojans in the #1 spot to open this week’s Power Rankings.

This Week: #1

2.What Could Have Beens (4-0): Having scored 1 less point than the Trojans this season has What Could Have Beens with the #2 offense and in the #2 spot in the Power Rankings. They finally faced their first test 1 month into the season, and they came away with the win against The Replacements, 38-33. This is a team, in my opinion, along with the Trojans, that will move up into Div 6 for their eventual playoff run. Sean Brown has been killing it, throwing 21 TD’s and 721 yards and WR Regis Kodua as well, with 316 yards and 6 TD’s on 16 receptions, to go with 8 tackles, 2 INT’s and 7 PD’s on defense. Their next true test will be in week 7, against the stout 7th Rounders defense. What Could Have Beens continue to rise and make it in the #2 spot this week.

This Week: #2

3. 7th Rounders (4-0): So you can score on this team! After an impressive 3-game shutout streak, the 7th rounders allow their first 12 points of the season, albeit in another convincing win, 32-12 over Goon Squad. Their wins haven’t come against quality teams, and may be undefeated going into their week 7 matchup against What Could Have Beens, which will be an FPF preview of this year’s NFL Super Bowl: A great offense in WCHB vs. the stoic Defense of 7th Rounders. Offense tends to win these matchups in FPF, but 7th Rounders have an offense that shouldn’t be taken too lightly with 2 receivers with 148 yards or more in Olivier Dufour and Jafar Hassan, who have combined for 7 TD’s and 8 INT’s on the year. It will be a great matchup in week 7 between this week’s #2 and #3 Power Ranked teams.

This Week: #3

4. Les Studz (4-0): ”Les Studz own the 2nd best +/- differential of all Div 6D teams and are only 1 of 2 to crack a +100 differential. I was able to catch a little bit of their game on Monday night against Mountain Goats and they are a verryyyy good team. They’ve got playmakers on both sides of the ball, and added a 5th Pick-6 to their season totals this week. On offense, Leandre Grimmel is leading the charge with 160 yards on only 6 receptions; a crazy 26.7 yards per reception, 4 of which have gone for TD’s. Chalk up Les Studz along with the Trojans and WCHB’s to move into the Div 6 playoff race. They stay put in the #4 spot.

This Week: #4

5.Tropic Thunder (4-0): Tyler Grondin has been great one month into the season, throwing 19 TD’s, but as I mentioned last week, he was unable to lower his 2:1 TD:INT ratio, throwing 4 TD’s and 2 picks this past week in a win against Ballin 60’s. Other than Grondin’s name been thrown around each week, time to mention someone else! Mikael Arseneau has led the WR crew with 233 yards and is tied with Michael Kevin with 6 TD’s. Alex Laroche not only leads his team with the best smile in his FPF profile picture, but also leads his team with 21 receptions and has, in 4 games into the season, already set a career high in yards with 138 and TD’s with 5 TD’s. Arsenau, in addition to his offensive prowess, leads his team in both tackles (11) and INT’s (5). Definitely one of the most improved teams in FPF, but with the high-end talent in 6D, they stay put at #5.

Last Week: #5

This Week: #5

6. Inglorious Basterds (4-0): Inglorious Basterds keep their perfect season alive, but in a much closer game than I expected against the 89.9ers. A.J Titleman is the only receiver on the team with 100+ yards, and leads his squad with 4 TD’s, with Max Kadanoff 2nd in yards (90). Kadanoff is tied with Ryan Rotholz on defense for the interception lead for his team, both having picked off quarterbacks 3 times. The contributions have come from different players and not just 1 or 2 guys, as 9 different receivers have caught a TD. Their biggest test comes in week 6, after their Super Bowl bye week, when they face the #1 seed Trojans. I think they aren’t there yet to beat a team like Trojans, but they will give everything they have and it will be a good measuring stick game to see how close they are to them. With little movement in this week’s Power Rankings, Inglorious Basterds keep their #6 spot from last week.

7. Stiffy Arm (3-1): Stiffy Arm are now on a 2-game win streak that has seen them score 68 points in the past 2 weeks, including a 42-0 trouncing of Raw Sauce this past week. QB Adamo Colella is getting more comfortable in this team’s offense which has produced 4 different WR’s with 100+ yards (a 5th receiver is at 90 yards too) and 5 different receivers with 2 or more TD catches; a truly balanced attack! This team should have their week 6 matchup vs. Tropic Thunder circled on their calendar as the next big test on their schedule and may shake up the standings and Power Rankings atop Conference A.

8. Zone 6 Ballers (3-1): I’ve had the chance to play with Matt Valente and the guy is a solid football player with good size and good hands. He did it all for his team on Thursday night in Baie d’Urfe, grabbing 5 balls for 67 yards and 2 TD’s, while creating 2 turnovers by picking off SAFTB QB Anthony McCall twice. While he is clearly the go-to guy on this team, opposing defenses will try and take him out of the game and will need contributions from Anthony Fiorino and Peter Iannitelli, and of course Jeansley will need to continue to improve as a passing Quarterback. I like his improvement in completion % the past 2 games, completing 50% and 57% of his passes, both of which are greater than his current 40% completion percentage. Compared to his 4 GP’s as Quarterback in Winter 2019, he’s thrown half the interceptions this year (5 vs. 10 in 2019). Good to see he’s not forcing throws leading to turnovers, which has led to a 3-1 record compared to last year’s debacle of a season, where Zone 6 were 0-4 after 4 games, en-route to an 0-10 season. Needless to say, his running ability doesn’t need improvement and should continue to be a weapon he mixes in with the passing game. Zone 6 hold down the #8 spot, moving up 1 spot from last week.

9.The Replacements (2-2): After starting the season out of this world, The Replacements have fallen back to Earth hard with 2 straight losses. I’m still very surprised they lost to Lionhearts, but less surprised they lost to What Could Have Beens. If anything, I’m surprised they kept it to a 5-point game, although as Nim Jenikovsky mentioned on Calling The Audible, WCHB’s did have a 2 score lead on them with 5 plays remaining in the game. Still, the team has the best WR duo in 6D with Nim and Di Ielsi, with 228 yards and 8 TD’s and 337 yards and 9 TD’s respectively, and even have a 3rd WR with over 100 yards in Josh Currie. They do have it easier the next 2 weeks vs. Green Wave and Goon Squad, so they should be able to pick up the W’s there, but who knows if another Lionhearts surprise is around the corner.

10. South Shore Seamen (3-1): The SSS went with a quarterback change in week 4, putting leading receiver in yards, Jean-Samuel Cournoyer, in charge of the offense as the teams pivot. He did well in his first career FPF start at QB after testing the waters in week 3, after throwing a few passes vs the 89.9ers. Without counting penalties, he put up 170 yards of offense, 101 through the air with 3 TD’s and another 69 on the ground with 1 running score. Most importantly in any FPF game, he didn’t throw an interception and led his team to a 25-20 victory over BDR. Granted, BDR is a team that is still winless after 4 games (0-3-1), but for a 1st time QB, a win is a win and can lead to some much needed confidence, especially when your team record is 3-1. Let’s see if they stick with Cournoyer under center in their upcoming games. The Seamen have no reason to be salty this week, as they squeak into the Week 4 Power Rankings and round off the top 10 list of 6D.

Division 6

By Ignacio Valdez Manzanedo

1. Suicide squad (4-0): Suicide Squad claim back their title atop the Div 6 Power Rankings with a convincing win over one of the toughest opponents in the division, Pension Plan, who came in undefeated at 3-0 in their week 4 tilt vs Suicide Squad. After Noel’s average performance in week 3, he came out very efficient in week 4, continuing to spread the offense out, but also going to his safety blanket in Gabe Wiseman when he needing a score (3 TD’s for Wiseman) en-route to putting up 31 points on PP. Now standing as the only team with 4 wins after 4 weeks in the division, Suicide Squad has put themselves in the driver’s seat to go into the playoffs as the #1 seed. As such, they move back into the #1 spot to open the Week 4 edition of Div 6’s Power Rankings.

2. Masters of Coin (3-0-1): Masters of Coin slide down 1 spot from the crown position after a week 4 win, but were only able to put up 19 points on a Stack Your Roster team that was without Mendy Cardichon. The MOC defense was strong however, allowing a mere 6 points against Emile Janda’s crew, which, to be fair, their only score was a beauty toss and catch, with a practically undefendable, outstretched Arnaud Prince-Duthel snatching Janda’s corner route pass. With the way their offense has been built in years past, and the way they’ve continued to roll this Winter season with Dayan under center, I expected more offense out of MOC in week 4. It’s strange to not see Benji Zeigler in any of the top 5 receiver stats, but him and his team have the potential to break out and put up 5 scores any week, against almost any opponent, which should be enough to win their weekly matchups. For those reasons, and their undefeated 3-0-1 record, they land in the #2 spot this week.

This Week: #2

3. Winnie Tha Bish (3-0-1): For being the #1 seed in Conference A, I feel like Winnie Tha Bish are going slightly under the radar, which is a misguided approach if your facing this team heading into your weekly matchup. They were able to hold their 10-point halftime lead in week 4 against a decent Primetime team, and I expected nothing else from this team. I mentioned in previous weeks that I wanted to see a little more out of Danny McFee at the QB position, and he answered the bell going 12/21, 133 yards, 5 TD’s with a single INT. Winnie That Bish, like Masters of Coin, remain undefeated at 3-0-1 and boast the 4th best Points For, the 3rd best Points Against, combining for the 3rd best +/- differential in the entire division at +58, and so they stay put in the 3rd spot in the Power Rankings this week.

4. Trapstars (3-1): The Ryan Garber-Cooper Young QB/WR duo is for real! Having played them this week, I’m comfortable in saying that Cooper Young will lead the league in yards by season’s end. Pulling off a big win against the Average Joe’s in week 4 has them moving up 2 spots from last week. While their defense isn’t flawless, it definitely stood strong when they were called upon, getting a pick 6 at the end of the 1st half and holding the Joe’s from getting a tying score on their last 2 offensive possessions, including a stop on 4 downs with 5 plays remaining in the game. Their youthful exuberance will take this team far and have some nice tests in their schedule to see how good they really are, with games against Pension Plan, Space Apes and the ultimate test when facing off against Suicide Squad in their season finale. They passed their first test against the Joe’s and jump into the #4 spot.

Last Week: #6

This Week: #4

5. Average Joe’s (3-1): Average Joe’s suffer their first loss of the season against a good, young Trapstars squad. No time to panic, however, as the offense was able to move the ball for 227 yards on offense, and the defense was able to make 3 key stops against a solid Trapstars offense. Better decision-making from me at QB and better redzone execution is what the difference in the game was in week 4, and is an area of improvement that requires follow-up. Time to learn from the mistakes and soldier on to week 5, as the Joe’s face another tough test in Pension Plan, a team also sitting at 3-1, who are looking to get in the win column after losing to Suicide Squad this past week.

Last Week: #4

This Week: #5

6. Pension Plan (3-1) : Like the Average Joe’s, Pension Plan slide down 1 spot after their loss to the #1 Power-Ranked team, Suicide Squad. No shame in that, as SS have put together a monster team. In fact, what’s impressive is that Pension Plan had the lead going into the half, 13-12 and were up 19-18 in the 2nd half as well, and lost this game after going 4 and out in their 2nd to last drive of the game. Crazy how a single drive can determine the outcome of an FPF game. I’m not worried about Pension Plan moving forward; this is an experienced team that knows the high’s and lows of FPF and can stay even keel. As mentioned in the Joe’s section, Pension Plan have a big bounce-back game coming up against the Average Joe’s and will look to lean on the vets in Vince Pisano and Anthony Siggia to go 4-1.

7.Trailer Park Boys (3-1): The Trailer Park Boys started off HOT in their week 4 battle against Tankin’ for Tua, putting up 26 points to TFT’s big donut (0). Their first half dominance looked like this: Def: turnover on downs (TOD), Off: TD (7-0), Def: Another TOD, Off: TD (14-0), Def: INT, Off: TD (20-0), Def: Punt, Off: TD (26-0). The 2nd half however, was almost a complete disaster for the ‘Boys. The offense turned the ball over on downs, Def: got scored on (26-6), Off: turned the ball over on downs again, D: got scored on (26-12), Off: Threw a pick-6 (26-19), Off: Got picked off, Def: Came up with a huge stop on 4 downs, Off: Forced to punt, leaving 1 last Hail Mary attempt for Ryan Eichler which was intercepted by Phil Ramsey to secure his team the win they almost blew. I do have to give a shoutout to Will Richard though, what a game! He went 5/48/2 on offense and added 4 sacks on defense! It is fitting the TPB’s defense came up with 2 big stops at the end, given their defensive pedigree, but the Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde identity and style of play of this team is a little scary. The lack of consistency in this game may be a cause of concern as they need to be able to piece a full 44 minutes (and 10 plays) together more consistently. They can do it a game here and there, but until I see a stretch of 3+ games of that, they will not make it in the top 5 Power Rankings. Despite the scare they gave themselves, they still move up 1 spot for beating a team that has individual talent in Tankin’ for Tua.

8.Space Ape’s (2-2): Speaking of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Space Apes are a little hard to read so far this season. Their roster looks like a winner, but start the season 1-2 after 3 weeks, and then completely dominant a good Kings of the North team 39-0 in week 4. The big names on defense showed up in this one, pressuring and limiting what 1st year quarterback Phil Aussant wanted to do on offense. Terry Babalis finished with 4 sacks, including one that went for a safety (this should definitely be a column in the defensive stats!) and J-F Daloze picked him off twice (one almost went for a pick 6). The defense consistently set up Charles Duchesne and the offense with great field position, and he delivered. Even when he was asked to drive the field, he did so on 3 occassions and put up TD’s. They stopped their split personality in this particular game, and were incredibly consistent in their approach. Big win to improve their record at 2-2.

9. The Potatoes (3-1): After a 1-1 start to the season, The Potatoes are getting off the couch with back-to-back wins against Tankin’ for Tua and Stop Whining. To be fair, these are 2 teams trending in the wrong direction, but I like where The Potatoe’s offense is going. Sam Lamothe is protecting the rock, throwing only 2 INT’s so far this season, and threw for 5 TD’s this past week. He is on pace to throw 50% less interceptions in a higher division compared to last Winter, where he threw 10 INT’s in Div 6D. They do face stiffer competition the rest of the way, so it will be time to see if these spuds will grow or wilt, especially in the last 3 weeks of the season, as they face 3 of the teams that are found in the top 5 of this weeks Power Rankings.

10.Fridge Raiders (2-2): The Fridge Raiders were the other team to post a shutout this week in Div 6, and round off the top 10 teams in this week’s Power Rankings. I’m not usually a fan of dual quarterback teams, as I prefer a team to stick to 1 pivot and let him progress throughout the year, especially when the 2nd quarterback is…your #1 receiver?? Merlin Arcand leads his team in receptions, yards, and TD catches and threw twice as many passes as the starter Yan Leeroy in week 4 vs. Menace II Sobreity… Did I miss something here? Or maybe Leeroy got injured? Anyways, offensively, the Raiders executed through a mix of pass and runs, but it was the defense that stood out in this one. Between Menace II Sobreity quarterbacks, Bobby “Spaghettis” and Mike Zenobi, they combined for just 2 completions, 6 yards, 0 TD’s, and 3 interceptions…. Ouch, real rough outing; it pains my eyes to see such stats. The Fridge Raiders took care of business though, and had their highest output on offense of the season to bring their record to .500 after 4 weeks. They face some good competition in Primetime, Trailer Park Boyss, Winnie Tha Bish and MACDO the rest of the season, so let’s see if they can come away with 2 wins out of those 4 games. The Fridge Raiders are definitely a team to keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks.

Division 5B

By Marc-Andre Desaulniers

Division 5A

By Marc-Andre Desaulniers

1.The U: Une vraie équipe championne qui sait comment gagner !

Division 4B

By Alex Blais

10.The Sheriff: Deux défaites en 4 matchs?

Division 4A

By Alex Blais

8.Outlaws: Quel beau match contre Chocolate Thunder!

Division 4A

By Corey Walwaski

1.Bandit Bruthers (4-0): Huge rivalry game against Half-A-Stars after the bye week. That will reinforce our number 1 seed or drop us down a little.

2.The Infantry (4-0): The top 4 teams all have a ton of reasons why they can be placed in first place. This team has two big ones, Sean and Rory Semerjian. If they can keep Jordan Edwards around, their combination of those 3, Jason Rossie and Dilan Daoust seems almost too good for the division. They’re a scary opponent every week.

3.Les Verges Folles (4-0): Spoke to Zach this week and it’s a lot of fun competing with this guy. He knows how to build a strong team and can ball out on both sides of the ball. I’m a little upset at Eskimo Brothers for letting him throw 8 TDs last week, but that just shows you the kind of arm he has. Don’t take them lightly.

4.C2E (4-0): Maybe not as flashy as the other 3 teams so far, I would argue that they have had the toughest competition of the group. They’ve beaten Chocolate Thunder and The Tide so far who could both easily be in the top 4 instead. Mike Roy is proving to excel and he has an excellent supporting cast, kudos to these guys.

5.Chocolate Thunder (3-1): Joe Kano has 18 touchdowns in 3 games and primarily uses his twin towers to be able to launch the ball down field and have them go up and get it. Nikki Papich and Tim Horner are a scary duo and it seems like Horner is finally getting the attention he deserves after hiding away in the lower divisions.

6.The Tide (3-1): With their only loss coming in a close game against C2E, they proved they can hang with anybody and be a disturbing force to the standings. Doug McKernan and Brent Callendar have proven they can assemble a contender who have done well in the past, and they look to cause a little bit of chaos this season too.

7.Half-A-Stars (2-2): If I could put an asterisks here, I probably would. A lot will depend on their game against Bandit Bruthers to see where they fall in the Division Power Rankings, but they certainly have the team to compete against anybody. The question will be whether Andrew Langburt can overcome his toughest competition yet in his QB career?

8 Outlaws (2-2): Another surprise at 2-2, I think most people would be shocked with them at #8 in the power rankings, but that goes to show you just how strong the Division is this season.

9. Dream Breakers (2-2): I’ll never doubt the combination of Sebastien Dallaire, Jasmin Prince and Vincent Laganiere, but they seem to have a case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. You never know which version might show up week to week…

10. Eskimo Brothers (2-2): A tough loss against a top team knocks them down a little bit, but they’re still extremely difficult to play against. The score was lopsided due to a poor game by Zach Stachowski, but that can happen when you’re trying to play from behind. Otherwise, they have the size and athleticism to hang with the best.

Division 4B

By Corey Walwaski

  1. BBallers (4-0): The class of the division so far, Gianni Casati is throwing 6 touchdowns a game and they have the athleticism on defense to stop anybody. They’ve been blowing out good teams and the question remains, who will slow them down? Anybody? Bueller?

2. Les Gros Coqs (4-0): I knew they were good and have a ton of chemistry, but when you beat an accomplished team like The Sheriff in the way that they did, you’ll really get my attention. My apologies for sleeping on these guys for the first few weeks, they are the real deal.

3. Backwood Boyz (3-1): Not sure how they’ve lost a game this season, they are my pick to compete with BBallers at the end of the season. Peeze would probably put them higher up on this list and it’s hard not to. Remember the name Nicky Farinaccio people.

4. EZW (3-1): Another team that seems to be finding their stride and showing that they’re one of the best teams in the Division. Jeremy White has developped quickly as a QB and I expect big things from him and his well-rounded team.

5. Takeover (3-1): We had Will Power on the podcast this week and he gave us a glimpse into this team and how they perform so well. The combo of him and Vincent Benjamin is a headache for opposing teams and they should finish the year as a top team.

6. Mangoose (3-1): EZW Part 2? I’m sure I’m not the only one hoping for a matchup with these two teams in the playoffs as they have a ton of guys who have played with EZW in the past. Wherever they keep finding people seems to be a hot bed for football studs. They’re showing they can hang with the OG’s.

7. Team Ethnik (3-1): I’ve talked a lot about these guys and they get the 7 spot because they just lost to the team in the 6th spot. They can compete with anybody but are known to have a down game once in a while. I’m not counting them out.

8. Class on Grass (3-1): Kelley Brossard has come in and done very well for this team and they are having success against some bottom tier teams in the division, so I wonder how they will fair against some of the other teams on this list. Already with a loss against BBallers, they may need to prove themselves a little bit. Alexandre Guerin seems to be a name to remember too.

9.The Sheriff (2-2): The Sheriff had a tough loss this week as I mentioned, but they will need to get back on track quickly against Show Me Your TDs. They’re a well built team and have a ton of experience and when you combine a talented QB in Luis Begin, it’s hard to keep them down for long.

10.FILP (2-2): Both of my last two teams fell to a team higher on this list and they seem to be fitting right in as a middle of the pack team. What they lack in depth, they make up for in experience and will be dangerous week in and week out.

Division 3

by Brent Bodkin

  1. KGP (Last Week 1 – This Week 1): Extra points are just as important as touchdowns, and KGP, proved exactly that, in their (41-40) victory over a resurgent Sweat & Beers squad.

2. Keyport Lock (Last Week 2 – This Week 2): A (30-12) blowout win over The Crew, helped Keyport Lock, right the ship, after a loss to Martine et le Flag last week. Up next, is a huge contest against The BrotherHood.  Let’s see what happens.

3. The BrotherHood (Last Week 3 – This Week 3): Although it wasn’t for a championship, The BrotherHood, were able to get a little revenge on BearSkins, with a (18-12) victory. A matchup with Keyport Lock this Wednesday, has the potential to shake up the rankings.

4. Pineapple Express (Last Week 4 – This Week 4): The analogy too much to not enough, perfectly applies here, as Pineapple Express, smashed Past Our Prime, (40-0). Up next, is a matchup with a Dirty Dawgs squad, who are dangerous offensively.

5. Junkyard Dogs (Last Week 7 – This Week 5): They jump two spots in the power rankings, due to a huge (45-25) beatdown of the Backyard Bullies. Firmly in the contender conversation, JYD, has chance to solidify that, with a win over the Greendale Human Beings.

6. Martine et le Flag (Last Week 6 – This Week 6): A comeback (31-26) victory over a Lonzo Ballers squad, who were without their starting Quarterback in Lonnie Johnson, doesn’t push them up the rankings, but it does move them one point behind The BrotherHood, for first overall in Conference B.

7. Trinity (Last Week 8 – This Week 7) : Another week, another impressive win by Trinity, as they were able to knock off Easy Jake Oven, (38-26). With a matchup looming against Sweat & Beers, you better get the fireworks ready.

8.BearSkins (Last Week 5 – This Week 8): They lost a tight defensive battle versus The BrotherHood, (18-12). With their only win coming against the hapless Loups in Week 1 (26-6), this might be the last week the BearSkins, stay on the list, and in the bigger picture, remain in playoff contention.

9.Les Maloudes (Last Week Not Ranked – This Week 9): A (35-24) victory over Jagerbomb, gave Les Maloudes, their third win in a row. Up next is a key showdown against The BrotherHood, that would see Les Maouldes, rocket up the rankings, if they could pull off the upset.

10. The Commission (Last Week Not Ranked  – This Week 10): Their only loss came by a touchdown (19-12), in Week 1 to The BrotherHood, A big win against All Hooks this past Sunday night, that wasn’t as close as the final score would indicate, put The Commission, on the list. Picking up a win versus a hard to figure out who they are The Crew squad, would go a long way to helping TC stay on the list.

Division 2

By AJ Gomes

  1. Taco Tuesday: Tough matchup coming up vs a Bad Boys team thats looking to bounce back strong. They were poised last game but will need to step their game up this week if they want to stay on top.

2. #NR: Still undefeated and in search of the perfect season. Paul Lapierre plays a key role that always helps ge t the job done and we continue to see that as the season progresses. Maybe he is the answer to unlocking the puzzle that is #NR. Only time will tell.

3.Bad Boys: They suffered their first loss of the season last week and will surely be hungry for a big bounce back game this week. They’ll need to bring their best efforts to this weeks showdown as they face off against the undefeated Taco Tuesday. I’m expecting Maxime Giroux to have a big performance in this one.

4. BYOB: Looking good after a second straight win. We might be seeing them in the top 3 really soon. Let’s see if they can make it 3 games in a row.

5. Underachievers : They are 2-2 and a big win this week vs an undefeated #NR can be the TSN turning point their season needs. Im counting on this squad to bring every they got to this game. Dylan Taylor will need to be close to perfect and I think he’s up for the challenge

6 Terror Squad: Still trying to turn things around. They had a tough time against Taco Tuesday and things wont be easier this week vs a talented BYOB team. They can and will be better and I expect to see that sooner rather than later.

7 No Cap: They got their first win of the season and will look to keep it going into this weeks tough MNF game vs BYOB. Can they make it 2 in a row or was last games win just a fluke?

Division 1

By AJ Gomes

1.Braves: Top of the table as they continue to steam roll their way through the division.

2.YCSWU: They got the bounce back win they needed after suffering their first loss of the season. They’ll need to keep it going if they want to get back in that #1 spot.

3.Da Finest: A big win vs Got-Skills bumped them up into the 3rd spot. They looked solid on both sides of the ball last game and they should count on them to look even better this game vs STL.

4. Got-Skills: They lost last game but they’ll have some time to reflect and adjust during the bye week. Count on them to be back with a big win

5.Flag Moi L’Sac: A tough shootout loss to the best team in the division showed us all that they can hang with the best of them. It’s always nice when your offence can put up 53 but on the other hand there is also a problem when you let your opponent put up 54. Let’s see if they can clean things up next game and turn things around.

6.STL: Close but no cigar as STL came just shy of seeing their first win of the season. They have the talent to compete and they made that clear against a tough YCSWU squad. We can expect to keep seeing them get better and hopefully secure their first W soon.

Predictions of the World of Tomorrow

As a self-proclaimed FPF expert I’m going head to head against our divisional experts in each division to see how chooses the most games right and to attempt to eventually use this platform to branch out in illegal underground gambling for recreational sports.  If you can throw a game for a price, remember to hit me up!

Cumulative, Entire Season Head-to Head

Here is how I’m doing against the stiff competition. This is the season long table and it’s clear that too often I pick with my heart. It’s gotta be game face moving forward. I’m checking my feelings at the door.

Sunday’s Super Spumone

Super Sunday is here and we have less games than usual.  That said, for the few that are playing this week! Best of luck!!! For those who have any thoughts, commentary or complaints, I am very easy to find.  I’m @peezefpf on twitter and Peeze Della Reeze on most other forms of social media.  You can also take a chance by emailing me at [email protected] and if it happens to be one of the two weeks per season that I check that email I will surely answer!

Remember that each week you can join the party on Facebook live or at www.youtube.com/flagplus on our weekly podcast: Calling the Audible.  The show starts each week at 7:30 pm and we discuss topics such as the best baby crib when rated on a matrix of safety, design and comfort, the best berries to eat on a deserted island and weather or not the beach is a safer location to wait for rescue than a cave!  Till next week, I want to thank you falettineme be mice elf agin!
