Spotlight Matchup Preview
Prediction Record 6-7-1
Dime and Bougie (6-2) vs 4th & Shlong (6-2)
Get ready for an exciting match-up in the world of FPF, as Dime and Bougie take on 4th & Shlong in a battle of two teams with very different styles of play. The game promises to be an entertaining clash of skill and strategy, as both teams look to come out on top. 4th & Shlong, known for their fast-paced, high-scoring offense, will be looking to put up big numbers against Dime and Bougie’s tough defense. Led by their star quarterback, Michael Caparelli, 4th & Shlong will be looking to move the ball down the field quickly and efficiently, relying on their speed and great route running to outmaneuver DB’s in-front of them. On the other hand, Dime and Bougie is a team that prides itself on their strong defense and physicality. With their aggressive lurking style of play, they’ll be looking to disrupt Michael Caparelli’s offensive rhythm and force a few turnovers. Dime and Bougie’s quarterback, Jules Regimbald, is a master at controlling the game and making smart decisions with the ball, so expect him to lead the charge on the offensive side of the ball. The key to victory for both teams will be their ability to execute their game plans and score efficiently in the red-zone. Dime and Bougie will need to be quick and efficient on offense, while also staying disciplined on defense to prevent 4th & Shlong from getting easy scores. One thing’s for sure: this game is going to be a battle from start to finish. With both teams boasting a mix of experience and youth, there’s no telling who will come out on top. Will 4th & Shlong’s flashy offense prove too much for Dime and Bougie’s defense to handle, or will Dime and Bougie’s ball hawking style of play confuse Caparelli over the course of the game? Only time will tell but my prediction is that Dime and Bougie steal this one 32-27.
Top performers of week 11
QB: Olivier Pilotto- Les Blues Branleurs
Olivier Pilotto Dominates Les Jets Plien with 7 Touchdowns. In this outstanding performance, Olivier Pilotto led his team to a decisive victory over Les Jets Plien, finishing the night with an impressive 229 yards, 7 touchdowns, and only one interception. His dominant display earned him the title of touchdown leader for week 11 in the division. From the get-go, Pilotto looked sharp and focused, knowing they needed an important win. His talents were on full display, as he delivered the ball with precision to his receivers, who made the most of their opportunities and turned them into touchdowns. He scanned the field well and found his open receivers with ease as he also completed 80% of his throws. While Pilotto did throw one interception, it was a minor blemish on an otherwise flawless performance. He quickly rebounded from the mistake and continued to lead his team to victory.
WR: Jordan McLaren- Nomads
Jordan McLaren put on a show for the ages in week 11, leading his team, the Nomads, to a decisive victory over their opponents. McLaren’s impressive stat line of 10 catches, 108 yards, and 4 touchdowns was a testament to his skill and ability as a wide receiver. In fact, he was the only player in the league to score 4 touchdowns in a single game that week. From the onset, McLaren looked unstoppable. He was able to create separation from his defenders with ease, using his speed and agility to make quick cuts and get open for his quarterback. What was particularly impressive about his performance was his ability to make big plays when it mattered most. He scored two touchdowns in the first half to give his team a commanding lead, and then added two more in the second half to put the game out of reach. His consistency and reliability were key factors in his team’s success, as they were able to rely on him to make plays time and time again.
DEF: Will Power- Hot Sauce Sports
In week 11 Hot Sauce Sports faced off in big match-up against Les Blues Branleurs. They came away with a hard-fought victory, thanks in no small part to the outstanding play of their star, Will Power. Will had a standout game, recording multiple interceptions and earning this weeks Defensive player of the week. Throughout the game, Will was a constant thorn in the side of the opposing team’s offense. His instincts, speed, and ball skills were on full display as he repeatedly disrupted the passing game and prevented the other team from making big plays. His ability to anticipate quarterback’s intentions and make quick breaks on the ball has been key in his recent defensive success. His two interceptions were tied for the most in the division in week 11 and they helped shift the momentum in favour of Hot Sauce Sports. This is the second week in a row which Will has been named Player of the Week, a testament to his consistency and dominance on the field. With Power leading the way on defense, they will be a tough team to beat, and opposing quarterbacks will have to be careful when throwing the ball in his direction.
2-WAY: Guillaume Ranger- Martine Et Le Flag
Guillaume Ranger might have had the craziest stat-line I’ve ever seen in FPF. Leading his team, Martine et Le Flag, to an impressive 44-6. Guillaume caught 2 passes on 2 targets for 44 yards and 2 Touchdowns. Once again on offence he threw one pass that only traveled 3 yards in the red-zone that ended in a touchdown. On defense, Guillaume was equally impressive. His two interceptions were a result of his outstanding instincts and ball skills. He was even able take one back for a touchdown for his 3rd pick 6 of the season. His aggressive style of play was a key factor in his team’s victory and defensive efficiency. He was able to make a positive impact every time he stepped onto the field, and his contributions were a major reason why his team was able to come out on top. His versatility and skill as a two-way player made him a nightmare for Les Jets Plien to defend against. Overall, Ranger’s performance was nothing short of incredible. His crazy stat-line was a testament to his skill, versatility, and ability to make big plays in all phases of the game. As the season heads towards its conclusion, Ranger and Martine et Le Flag will be looking to build on this momentum and make a run towards the championship.
Top 5 QB’s of Division 4
The following top 5 list is in order. Allow me to breakdown how I selected who I think have been the most productive and scariest QB’s to face with in a division with this many teams. The first thing I evaluate is STATS! I tend to care less about yards as you can move the ball up and down the field but can’t get any points as a result doesn’t impress me. TD-INT ratio is something I grade very high. Iv’e mentioned it many times before in my previous articles that a quarterback’s ability to put up points and protect the ball is their #1 priority. A high completion % is always nice but when paired with a low sack total that tells me said QB is able to evade and control rushers without chucking it into the net or the floor. Another thing i’m looking for is how these stats have translated into wins. I understand that I may risk undervaluing some QB’s due to their teams poor defence but the best guys in the division know how to get it done, even if they played a poor first half.
- Iggy Manzanedo- Kiss my Inlaws (9-0)
Iggy Manzanedo has been on fire this season, leading his team Kiss my Inlaws to a perfect 9-0 record in the highly competitive division 4. With impressive stats and a commanding presence on the field, Iggy has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in all of FPF. Over the course of the season, Iggy has completed 170 of his 222 attempts for a total of 1813 yards. His accuracy and precision have been key to Kiss my Inlaws’ success, as he’s consistently found ways to move the ball down the field and put points on the board on every single defence he has faced. What’s even more impressive is Manzanedo’s touchdown-to-interception ratio. He’s thrown an astounding 46 touchdowns this season, while only being intercepted 3 times. That’s a testament to his ability to make smart decisions with the ball and avoid turnovers. Iggy’s success isn’t just due to his arm, though. He might not be the fastest one on the field but he has been able to avoid pressure and sacks from opposing rushers, having only been sacked 6 times this season. Beyond his individual stats, Manzanedo’s leadership and ability to rally and fire up his team have been crucial to Kiss my Inlaws’ undefeated stretch. He’s shown a calm and composed demeanour on the field, even in high-pressure situations, and his teammates have fed off that energy. Looking ahead, Manzanedo and Kiss my Inlaws will be looking to continue their winning ways in the playoffs. With his impressive season thus far, Iggy has certainly cemented his status as one of the top quarterbacks in the division. It’ll be exciting to see how he and his team perform in the postseason and whether they can finish the season with a championship trophy.
2. Frédéric Paquette-Perrault- Bessette et Ses Potes (6-3)
Frédéric Paquette-Perrault has had a remarkable season for his team Bessette et Ses Potes, showcasing his incredible skill as a quarterback in the world of FPF. Though the team sits with a 6-3 record, Paquette-Perrault’s stats are nothing short of outstanding: he’s completed 135 of his 204 attempts for a total of 1779 yards. What’s even more absurd is that he’s thrown an impressive 41 touchdowns, and has thrown ZERO interceptions all season long. Paquette-Perrault’s accuracy and ability to keep the ball away from opposing defences have been key to Bessette et Ses Potes’ success this season. His strong arm, paired with his quick decision-making and ability to read defences, allows him to connect with his receivers and create big plays. He’s shown an incredible ability to protect the ball and avoid turnovers, making him one of the most reliable quarterbacks in the league. This, paired with his impressive touchdown total, has made him a standout player on the field. His ability to lead by example has made him a respected figure in the locker room and has built immense trust from his teammates. Moving forward, Paquette-Perrault and Bessette et Ses Potes will be looking to carry their success in the playoffs. With his impressive season thus far, Paquette-Perrault has certainly established himself as a top 3 quarterbacks in the division and has his name in the QBOTY discussion.
3. Santino Sparagna- The R.E.E.T (8-1)
Santino Sparagna has had a season to remember for his team The R.E.E.T leading them to an impressive 8-1 record. Santino has stunning stats but his sheer speed and a agility is what really makes you say WOW. I do think its also worthy to note Santino has played 9 games but only 8 as QB so far. Over those 8 games played, Santino has completed 105 of his 174 attempts for a total of 1454 yards. Other then stretching the field with 40 bombs to Dawson Pierre, Santino has been reading defences and makes the right read on everyplace which have both been key to The R.E.E.T’s success. He’s thrown a dazzling 42 touchdowns this season, while also being intercepted 9 times. While there is certainly room for improvement in terms of avoiding turnovers, his ability to throw so many touchdowns has more than made up for the occasional mistake. Santino’s success isn’t just due to his arm, however. His quickness and ability to break a rushers ankles have allowed him to extend plays with his feet, giving his receivers all day to get open. In fact, he’s rushed for 300 yards and a touchdown this season, making him an even more dynamic and versatile player. Unfortunately Santino might be on the outside of the QB of the year discussion due to that missed game.
4. Michael Caparelli- 4th & Shlong (6-2)
The 4th & Shlong team has had a strong season in Div 4 so far, carrying a 6-2 record and clinching a playoff spot with ease. Much of their success can be attributed to the outstanding play of their quarterback, Michael Caparelli. Caparelli’s arm talent and strength is the driving force behind his team’s offensive success. Over 8 games, he completed 129 passes for 1504 yards, throwing an impressive 36 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. His ability to deliver accurate, high-velocity passes downfield factor in his team’s ability to move the ball and score points without mistakes. He also shows great pocket presence as he’s only been sacked 5 times all season. Avoiding turnovers, sacks and making smart choices with the ball has been his recipe for success. Once Caparelli hits the 10 game mark I expect his stats to easily be in the top 5.
5. Peeze Della Rocca-Hot Sauce Sports (5-3-1)
Despite hearing into week 12 with a record of 5 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, Peeze’s leadership and ability to read defences have kept his team in games. His season statistics are impressive, with 225 completions for 1900 passing yards, 39 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. What sets Peeze apart is his ability to call the perfect play at the right time. He has a knack for reading the defense and adjusting his team’s strategy to take advantage of the opponent’s weaknesses. Furthermore, Peeze’s calm and collected attitude in the pocket and smart decisions to has been a valuable asset to Hot Sauce Sports. He has led the team to several game-winning drives, showcasing his ability to handle the pressure and perform at a high level. His contributions have not only helped his team win games, but they have also earned him the respect and admiration of his teammates and opponents around the league alike. As the winter season comes to a close, it’s clear that Peeze Della Rocca has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the league and will need one more outstanding performance to try to reach all star status.
