Tier 1 Week 3 | Questions, answers and more questions!
Three weeks down and things are starting to get interesting!
As the season continues to unfold, things are really heating up.
I had a chance to chat with Rory Semerjian of Vengeance to ask him a couple questions on how he is so effective on the field. Read on to learn how he developed his shifty playstyle.
Q1: You are known for having great footwork: your ability to run sharp routes and make toe-tap catches is amongst the best that FPF has to offer. What can you attribute that to?
Semerjian: I pride myself a lot on my footwork and on my routes. Watching film and running routes, theory and practice are the two best things someone can do to get better at pretty much anything. I watch a lot of guys like Justin Jefferson, Devonte Smith, Keenan Allen, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, the list goes on. Antonio Brown, I probably watch him the most.”
Q2: Your energy on the field is unmatched. What is it about FPF that brings out the fierce competitor in you?
Semerjian: “I just love the game, man, love it so much. I can’t help but play with emotion.”
Every week I will conduct an interview with a prominent player, stay tuned!
Run It Once 36 vs Da Braves 44
A very exciting matchup as these are 2 teams in the top 3 of my power rankings. Da Braves sitting at the number 1 spot showed exactly why they belong there. Run It Once put up a good fight but it was their inability to score on their converts that made them fall short in this one. Jean-Daniel Chevalier was unstoppable for Da Braves, recording 7 receptions for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Run It Once was able to come down with two interceptions but somehow still allowed 44 points to Da Braves. These 2 teams won’t see each other again in the regular season but I predict they will see each other again late in the playoffs.
KGP 33 vs EZW 31
For KGP, quarterback Phil Cutler stayed hot coming off an amazing week 2 performance. This week, he had a tough test against the EZW defence but he passed it with flying colours. Cutler is on pace for an outstanding season, perhaps the best of his already great career. On the other end, Jeremy White had a solid performance throwing for 5 touchdowns, but his defence wasn’t able to contain Cutler. Ultimately, EZW fell short in this one.
DZOD Team 13 vs Da Braves 22
At first glance, I’m sure what jumps out at you is the low score in this game, especially since Da Braves can roll out of bed and drop 40. Maybe they took their opponent too lightly, or maybe their game was just too early in the morning – either way, Da Braves looked off in this one. If DZOD team can put together a consistent roster week in and week out, I think their athleticism can catapult them right to the top of this division. Jeanslee Alexis has become quite a problem at the quarterback position. He has improved dramatically at reading a defence, not to mention, he is impossible to rush. I couldn’t name you a quicker player in FPF, period.
