Fourth-and-Goal (Div C) – Week 6
While it’s all fun and jokes, it’s not easy waiting for an article all week. I know this, because it’s not easy procrastinating and waiting all week to write it. As such, from now on: no more slacking. Articles will be written and up earlier in the week (stats pending).
For now, let’s look ahead:
Pump & Ditch
I’d like to be the first to point out that I forgot Pump & Ditch when I ran my Week 5 rundown last week. Although I’d like to be the first, others noticed as well. In truth, this was an actual accident on my part. There is no spite between Pump & Ditch and myself; Vinny Gualano and I have a bromance currently going on. As such, here is my rundown of Pump & Ditch
Pump & Ditch {4-2-0}
Known Mainly for his receiving talents in the higher divisions, Vinny Gualano has tried his efforts at quarterbacking. Paired with experienced players in Haney, Khamis, White and Massé, Gualano has put in a team with knowledge and potential. While the passes don’t always look pretty, their record is certainly looking good. With the knowledge and the playmakers that this team possesses, they put themselves in prime position to upset a few teams come playoff time.
Final season prediction: 7-3-0
Playoff Race
It’s become that time of year again; the weeks pass by so quickly. Here’s a preview of what the playoffs would look like if they started today. Remember: for tie-breaker criteria, it goes: wins, (head to head), divisional record, point differential.
Conference A
Hall of Famers (5-1-0)
Daron Basmadjian Fan Club (4-0-2)
Prestige World Wide (4-1-1)
Monstars (4-2-0)
The Commission (4-2-0)
Pump & Ditch (4-2-0)
Mustangs du Gridiron (3-3-0)
Eagles (3-3-0)
———-
Jewish Cucumbers (3-3-0)
Real Deal (2-4-0)
Conference B
Predators (5-0-1)
Broccasion (5-1-0)
Rude Bwoys (4-1-1)
Sphinx (3-2-1)
KGP Champs (3-2-1)
Formerly Teamless (3-2-1)
Flight of the Conchords (3-2-1)
Favre Dollar Footlongs (3-3-0)
———-
Pap N’ Co (3-3-0)
The Incredibles (2-3-1)
We’re seeing exactly how tight the playoff race is. Error is the difference between a middle seed, and possibly out of the playoffs completely.
Random Thoughts
– The Incredibles might just be the best team to be outside the playoff race at the moment
– Indicative of my prediction of moving Jonathan Williams back to quarterback, The Commission won and beat one of the top dogs of the division. Are we seeing another Spring 2011?
– Remember, games are ONCE AGAIN on Saturday this weekend instead of Sunday.
