Division 3 Pre-Season Article

In division 3 which I will be covering I am with Dime & Bougie. Do not worry I won’t have any biais and won’t pick my teams matchups. Hopefully I can bring you entertainment and a few good reads throughout the season.

Now let’s get right into it! 

We have an amazing season coming up , some new teams and some returning. Perhaps moving up a division or giving another shot to the coveted winter championship.

Last winter Silent Ticklers won it all after an impressive season that ended with a win over That’s what she said. This year they (Silent Ticklers) are no longer part of div 3, which opens up the door for a new champ. 

I will do a quick breakdown of each team and where I see them ending up in terms of record. The list will go by names of the teams from A – Z so you can jump to your team right away.

Air Force 1  

Af1 is back after taking a break in the fall season, the roster has changed a bit but the key pieces are still there. Let’s see what Simon Blais and the crew can do this year

Record prediction : ( 4-6 )

Arouch  

Cette équipe est prête à être considérée comme top contenders en division 3. Les gars jouent avec du feu et de la passion. Une équipe complète qui risque de se retrouver au top du classement.

Record prediction : ( 7-1-2 )

A-Team  

Man that’s a fun team! These guys are out there to compete and win with some swag. They will definitely get in the head of opposing Qbs, question is : will their Qb (David Daoust) be ready to throw in this division full of studs? I think he’s ready but may face some challenges, especially earlier in the year 

Record prediction : ( 6-4 )

Backyard Bullies  

Backyard bullies is a team that went really far in division C in the spring 23 season. Lot of experience and flag football knowledge. Shawn Avraan the QB can dice up defenses and they are able to control games.

Beer Belly brigade  

Une excellente équipe qui n’est jamais dans un match plate. On peut s’attendre à des jeux explosifs de Jonathan Benoit ou du Qb Alexandre Fafard. De plus, la défensive de BBB exécute un excellent système pour shut down les receveurs numéro 1 des équipes adverses. Il sera difficile de marquer plus de 30 points contre eux.

Blue Chips  

Dont know much about this team but excited to see what Jordan Mitchell can do with his crazy elusiveness with the help of the all star Sanders Armand.

Record prediction : (4 -6 )

Bruins  

This team will surprise a lot of people this year. Qb Kris Verrault is ready for the next step after playing in coed and often as the 2nd Qb in higher divisions. The receiver core looks amazing. Really looking forward to watching this team play.

Record prediction : (8-1-1 )

Dime and Bougie  

After a tough exit in the fall cup 2023 losing back to back games in the elimination bracket, D&B is looking to bounce back and make a run for the winter title that fell through their hands last year. 

Record prediction : (NA)

Dirty Birds  

Dirty birds is such a fun team. With Qb Quaid Johnson leading the way, this team is stacked and will come out the gates with a bang. Athletes all over the field, D1 experience and very competitive team.

Record prediction : ( 7-3 )

EZW  

EZW est une équipe avec beaucoup d’expérience et un très bon sens du flag. Il sera intéressant de voir comment leur saison va se dérouler. Ce n’est pas un secret que leur Qb, Jeremy White est un des meilleurs dual threat qb de la ligue. Il a une bonne connexion avec ses receveurs et trouve toujours une façon de s’échapper et convertir le premier essai, touché ou converti.

Friends with Danny  

With Danny! One of the best players of all time is there for the winter season. We can expect quality and consistency from the Qb Jared Buck. They will find ways to win those close games but may fall short against more athletic teams.

Record prediction : (3 -1-6)

Greendale Human Beings  

This team made a run in the 2023 winter season. Lots of experience and a very well run offense this team is looking to repeat last year’s success but this time with Joey Taylor full time (only played 1 game in 2023).

Record prediction : ( 5-5 )

Griffnation  

Olivier Sabourin keeps improving at the Qb position, hes much more comfortable with his reads and confident in his offense. This team is intriguing because they played Tier 3 in Fall. It is a big jump but I like the move.

Record prediction : (2 -8 )

Kiss My Inlaws  

KMI won Div 4 in winter last year. Now iggy and the gang will attempt to win again with the addition of James Drysdale to the roster, on of the best players in all of Fpf. 

Record prediction : ( 10- 0)

Les Gros Coqs  

LGC reviennent dans la ligue après une bonne saison en hiver 2023. Une équipe dynamique et qui joue ensemble depuis longtemps.L’offense n’a jamais été un problème pour LGC, par contre, leur defense va devoir step up si ils veulent faire un push. 

Record prediction : (4-1-5 )

Lightweight  

Simon Dagenais, the Hall of Famer, is back in the league with a sick roster. I expect a lot from this team based on names, I haven’t seen Dagenais play so I’m hyped to watch him this season. They have a tough schedule but thats to be expected in div 3, every game is a battle.

Record prediction : ( 4-6)

Mel’s Angels  

With Qb Chris Rivest leading the charge this team is stacked from top to bottom, plenty of weapons to choose from and a solid defense. This team is built to be a contender. Xavier Couture will emerge as one of the best young players in FPF, believe that!

Record prediction : (7 -3 )

Minions of Migdesyan  

Zepp is throwing in Div 3 lets go!!!! Love the move that’s going to help him develop and gain that experience, he’s always looking to improve and I believe that they will have a good season but that will be dependent a lot on the play of their QB, he’s up for it. 

Record prediction : ( 3- 7)

Mongoose

Beaucoup d’expérience au sein de cette équipe. JF daloze et Simon Duchesne on rejoint l’équipe, ils vont amener un différente dimension à cette équipe qui rappelez vous, a fini 8-1-1 en division 3 l’année dernière! Par contre perdu en première ronde des séries… décevant mais Mongoose est de retour pour de bon cette fois.

Sharks  

The defending spring Div C champs with a different roster but with an  All star/ mvp Qb at the helm and one of the fastest players in the division in Noah Groper, i see sharks being a problem for opposing teams.

Record prediction : (6 -4 )

Speed Academy  

Jimmy Marneris, remeber this name if you play or watch these guys. Offense will go through him and with good reason. Hes athletic and is able to make those big time catches. But will teams figure it out and try to minimize his impact on the game ? we will find out.

Record prediction : ( 1-9 )

THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID  

TWSS are the finalists from last year. Similar team this season. Expect big things. These guys run a good playbook and are extremely tough to stop. Jessie Dupuis is also on the team, that’s a huge addition on defense (not qb of course).

Record prediction : ( 7-3)

The BrotherHood

Theo Ojeaha is back at Qb. This team is fun and high energy, they are going to be in every game making some big plays in key moments. Experience, talent and a good group of guys. 

Record prediction : ( 5-5 )

The Infantry

Solid roster from top to bottom, guys from higher divs and guys from the defending tier 3 champions West Island boys. Expect fireworks from this team, intensity and above all grit. Really looking forward to seeing Zack Stacey throwing in the best division in his climb to the top. 

Record prediction : ( 8- 2)

Une Phrase Bien Fournie  

Deuxième saison pour cette équipe, Xavier Bilodeau et Yvan Desjardins ont une excellente connexion, reste à voir avec le reste des receveurs. Coté défensif, physique, imposant et relentless si leur play calling s’ajuste aux divisions supérieures, sky is the limit.

Wide Open Bar

Une autre équipe qui monte de division, j’adore voir cela. Avec le retour de Edouard Leroux et Charles Verreault, je comprends pourquoi cette équipe passe de tier 3 a div 3. Gardez un œil sur WOB. Cheers!
