Div C’s Final Four

Semi Finals time 

Whats up Div C, sorry for missing out on quarter finals predictions but i’m back to dive into all that missed action and more. We are only one week away from the Finals so as excited as I am to see all the Finals matchups, I am sad to see this season end. Either way, the Semi-Finals are here, and the stage is set for an epic display of athleticism, big plays and determination. Tonight we will get to see 4 teams battle each other and give everything they have to push their season one more week, with the opportunity to win a Championship. With the stakes higher than ever, these four teams will leave nothing to chance in their pursuit of Flag Plus glory. The Semi-Finals promise to be a wild display of highlights and intense emotion. Definitely nail-biting moments in these two games that will have fans on the edge of their seats. As the four titans prepare to clash on the turf tonight, the atmosphere will be electric with tension, excitement, and passion. Who will emerge victorious and book their spot in the grand finale? Only time will tell. So brace yourselves for the most captivating football action of the season as the Semi-Finals unfold, bringing us one step closer to crowning the new Flagplus Football champions!

The Final Four

Among the remaining contenders, 

Dime and Bougie (9-1) 

Post-Season Key Players: Jules Regimbald,  Fritzgerald Cenatus 

Dime and Bougie have astounded the league with their impeccable teamwork and suffocating defence. Their seamless coordination and awe-inspiring chemistry have earned them a rightful place in the Semi-Finals. As my favourite to reach the finals and win it all, I believe this team has all the components to be crowned Spring 2023 Champs. QB Jules Regimbald has done a great Job at protecting the ball in their last 2 games throwing 0 Interceptions. Another Standout player has been Div A’s DPOY Fritz Cenatus. In 2 games Fritz has been everywhere scoring 3 TD’s on offence and one on defence. Also leading the team in picks with 4 in their first two games. I expect him to keep this stellar pace. 

Backyard Bullies (7-3)

Post-Season Key Players: Jordan Allard

Next are Backyard Bullies, a team that has left a trail of defeated opponents in their wake. Finishing with 7 wins in the regular season and securing the #3 seed, this team has shown week after week they are a Div C Giant. Armed with their relentless attack and exceptional experience, they will stop at nothing to secure a spot in the coveted championship match. With players live Sean Avraam, Alex Holowach and Vinny Gualano this team is loaded with experience and Flag Plus Knowledge. Jordan Allard has easily been Backyard Bullies MVP so far catching 7 TD’s in 2 games. Also catching an INT’ in their last game which was a 1 score game. 

Primal (5-4-1)

Post-Season Key Players: Jared Buck

Next up we have Primal, a dark horse throughout the playoffs, has defied all odds to make it to the Semi-Finals. Despite a Divisional loss to Game Changers, they had played the game with an ineligible player and were disqualified from the playoffs. This gave Primal a revival and allowed them to pick themselves up and have a fantastic game against Besette et Ses Potes and earned themselves a spot in this Final Four. QB Jared Buck has played fantastic so far throwing for 405 yards. 10 TD’s and 0 INT’s. 

Sharks (7-3)

Post-Season Key players: Max Burah

Lastly, we have the Sharks, a team known for their unwavering tenacity and never-say-never attitude. They have showcased their versatility on the field, adapting to various challenges and showing that they can win games from their offensive or defensive plays. Their speed and size at the WR position gives Corey Walwaski unlimited options and a high powered Offence. Max Burah has been a beast as a two way player for Sharks in their two playoff games as he leads the team in post season receiving yards and also hauled in 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s. With players like Quaysie Gordon-Maule and Noah Groper adding a 3rd playmaker could make this team unstoppable. 

Semi Finals Matchups 

Dime and Bougie  Vs.   Primal 

In what promises to be a riveting Semi-Final encounter, Dime and Bougie face off against Primal in a battle that pits two great teams with distinct strengths against each other. With a spot in the championship game on the line, both teams are ready to leave it all on the field and showcase their best in this high-stakes clash. Dime and Bougie’s offense has been a force to be reckoned with, largely owing to the exceptional performance of their quarterback, Jules Regimbald. His impressive post season stat line of 225 yards, 7 touchdowns, and zero interceptions demonstrates his poise and precision in the pocket. What sets him apart is his ability to buy time, keeping plays alive and giving his talented receiving corps more opportunities to exploit the opposition’s defense. The chemistry between Jules and his receivers has been a key factor in their offensive success, and Primal’s defense will need to find a way to disrupt this dynamic offence. However, Dime and Bougie’s success is not limited to their offensive might. Their defense has been nothing short of spectacular in the playoffs, earning the distinction of being the best in the division. With 6 interceptions, 2 sacks, and 2 touchdowns secured in their two playoff games, they have proven to be a relentless force that can single-handedly turn the tide of a game. Primal’s offensive unit will need to tread carefully and try to hit shorter routes to counteract this tenacious ball hawking defense if they hope to make a dent in Dime and Bougie’s stout defence. 

Primal’s journey to the Semi-Finals has been a rollercoaster ride, having suffered a loss against the Game Changers in their Divisional Matchup. However, fate favoured them as the Game Changers were disqualified, giving Primal a second chance to prove their worth in the playoffs. This unexpected opportunity has surely lit a fire in the hearts of Primal’s players, and they will undoubtedly be looking to capitalize on their redemption shot as they did in the Quarter Final. Against Dime and Bougie, Primal faces a daunting task. To challenge the powerhouse offense led by Jules Regimbald and to overcome the daunting defensive wall, Primal will need a colossal effort from all their players. It’s not just about individual brilliance; it’s about collective excellence, where every player must step up to their highest level to compete against the odds. 

The stage is set for an intense showdown between Dime and Bougie and Primal, as they collide in the Semi-Finals. With Dime and Bougie boasting an impressive offense and an impenetrable defense Im riding with my prediction and will continue to ride the Dime  and Bougie Bus. Give me Dime and Bougie 46-32. 

Backyard Bullies Vs. Sharks 

In what promises to be an electrifying encounter, the Backyard Bullies square off against the Sharks in the other FPF Div C Semi-Finals. With both teams eyeing a spot in the championship match, this showdown guarantees a thrilling clash of experience and freakish athleticism on the field.

Backyard Bullies: The Masters of Exploitation, The Backyard Bullies come armed with a roster of veteran players who bring a wealth of experience to the table. Their ability to slow the game down and exploit their opponents’ weaknesses is a testament to their strategic brilliance. Led by seasoned leaders, the Bullies have mastered the art of reading the game, making decisive plays, and capitalizing on any openings presented to them. Their collective experience and composure under pressure make them a tough opponent for Sharks. 

Sharks: A Potent Mix of Experience and Athletic Ability. On the other side of the field, the Sharks present a unique blend of experience and explosive athleticism. With a lineup that encompasses seasoned players alongside emerging stars, they possess the versatility to adapt to any situation. At the heart of the Sharks’ offensive arsenal is their quarterback, Corey Walwaski, who is capable of delivering game-changing performances when at his best. His ability to orchestrate the game efficiently and lead the team with precision will be a key factor in the Sharks’ success. For the Sharks to emerge victorious against the seasoned Backyard Bullies, they’ll need Corey Walwaski to have an absolute standout performance. If he can execute flawlessly and make the right decisions, the Sharks’ offense will be the hardest challenge yet  for the Bullies’ defense to handle. The Sharks’ wide range of athletic talent, supported by strategic play-calling, could be the X-factor in tipping the scales in their favour. 

The stage is set for a clash of contrasting strengths and styles as the Backyard Bullies take on the Sharks in the Semi-Finals. If I Had to chose just one, this would be my matchup of the week. I think this will be a close back and fourth battle that might be decided by extra points. I think the Bullies have had a great season but it ends here for them. Give me Sharks 46-44.
