Coed 1: Video Game Stats & Nail-Biting Finishes

Teams are starting to solidify their identity. Some are proving they belong at the top, while others are scrambling to stay in the playoff race. With only eight playoff spots available, the margin for error is shrinking each week. This week, instead of power rankings, we’re shifting our focus to game performances & player standouts. Let’s get into it.

Hooshmazoos’ Offence is on Fire: Tam Vilaydeth Puts Up Video Game Numbers

Hooshmazoos are playing like a team possessed, and the numbers don’t lie. In back-to-back games, their offence has been unstoppable, and quarterback Tam Vilaydeth has been at the heart of it all, putting up absolutely insane performances.

In the EZFun vs Hooshmazoos game, Jeremy White delivered one of the most efficient passing performances of the season, completing 21 of 25 passes for 210 passing yards and seven touchdowns. However, Tam Vilaydeth responded with eight touchdowns of his own while also rushing for 102 yards, ultimately leading his team to a 52-47 victory. Just when you thought that was impressive, he followed it up with an even more dominant showing against Monarchs, lighting up their defence for 317 passing yards and 9 touchdowns in a 60-41 win. That brings his total over the last two games to an absurd 17 touchdown passes with zero interceptions, a level of efficiency and production that’s nearly unheard of. It could be the highest number of touchdown passes thrown over a two-game span in league history.

Hooshmazoos‘ offence has now put up a staggering 112 points in their last two games, averaging 56 points per game during that stretch. Even more ridiculous, against Monarchs, they dropped 51 points in the first half alone. It’s one thing to be a high-scoring team, but putting up an entire game’s worth of points in a single half? That’s next-level dominance.

What makes this even scarier for the rest of the division is that it’s not just Vilaydeth carrying the team—this offence is loaded with weapons. Against Monarchs, four different receivers found the end zone multiple times, proving just how deep their attack is. Maxime Giroux (85 yards, 2 TDs), Marina Scalzo-Chrétien (75 yards, 2 TDs), Gabriel-Charles Dabe Champagne (60 yards, 2 TDs), and Effee Petrone (53 yards, 3 TDs).

At 3-1, Hooshmazoos has positioned themselves among the contenders.

Plenty of Fish Escape with Another 1-Point Victory Against Kiss My End Zone

Plenty of Fish continues to prove why they belong at the top of the league standings. They found themselves in an all-out war against Kiss My End Zone, ultimately securing a razor-thin 39-38 victory. When it came down to crunch time, this team makes the plays necessary to escape with a win.

Maude Lacasse continues to impress, but the real offensive star was Julian McLaren-Thompson. He caught just three passes, but turned them into 90 receiving yards and three touchdowns, showing his ability to stretch the field and break open a defence.

On the other side, Jimmy-Lee Janvier showed why he is one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the division, completing 22 of 31 passes for 217 yards and six touchdowns without an interception. Kiss My End Zone was able to keep pace offensively, led by Isiah Allard’s 108-yard performance and Magalie Ruel’s two touchdowns. But in the end, it was Plenty of Fish that found a way to win in a game that could have gone either way. Kiss My End Zone, despite the loss, proved they belong in the conversation of top teams.

Dominos Takes Down Pass Whoopin’

Dominos needed a win, and they got it in a big way, defeating Pass Whoopin’ 46-37 in one of the more competitive games. Kevin Wyeth delivered, throwing for five touchdowns and showcasing his signature accuracy under pressure.

Lara Uzoka had a breakout performance, leading all receivers with 64 yards and a touchdown. Rachelle Vallieres continued her strong season, scoring multiple times once again. On defence, Dominos kept pressure on Pass Whoopin’ all game, led by the disruptive presence of Jamal Noël, who recorded two sacks.

With this win, Dominos moves to 1-2, and while their record doesn’t reflect it, this is a team that’s better than their standing suggests. If they continue to win, they could be a major problem down the stretch.

Monarchs Find Their Footing in Win Over Fitsquad

After a slow start to the season, Monarchs finally broke through with a 28-24 victory over Fitsquad. Quarterback Emmanuelle Bronsard played a near-flawless game, throwing for 113 yards and two touchdowns.

The receiving duo of Emile Chateauvert and Emma Racine was fantastic, combining for three touchdowns and over 100 receiving yards. Monarchs controlled the tempo of the game and did just enough to hold off a strong performance from Fitsquad’s William Brouard, who threw for 174 yards and four touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Fitsquad showed flashes of potential, with David Michaud racking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Monarchs now sit at 1-2, looking to build off this momentum in the coming weeks.
