A Bear Pun, New QBs and the Best Rusher in FPF
Peeze’s Playbook: Week 5
Late night reflections:
Spiral of Hibernation
I’ve had my criticisms about the Bruins defensive strategy through the years. However, they always seem to make it work. Additionally, I thought they would struggle this particular season with Zach Zwirn not appearing on the game one roster sheet. After a week one loss to Pincellos, the team has brought on a variety of substitute receivers in Jesse Dupuis and Joey Taylor but still there’s something about the connection between Gabriel Wiseman and ZZ.
This week Zwirn suited up for the gold and black. If it was obvious to the media it was more so for Gab Wiseman who targeted Zwirn 6 times out of his 31 attempts. Overall, he was kept under wraps as Zwirn caught 3 passes for 16 yards. The fall season’s new comer was the star of the evening as Rocco Christiano would lead the Bruins in yardage and he scored a touchdown.
Still, it was somewhat of a vapid attempt by the Bruins as Team Ethnik controlled the game throughout. Defensively they forced the Bruins to be methodical counting on the idea that they wouldn’t be able to execute continually. They extended drives and it proved to be effective as Bruins would need to run 19.3 plays per touchdown. David DeAndrade, Charles Verrault, and Jeremy Augustin all intercepted passes on the way to a 22-12 win by Team Ethnik over Bruins. I’ve been on the record describing Benoit Lawlor as one of the best pure passers in the lower divisions. He was far from perfect in this game as he turned the ball over as he did last week (5 interceptions in the last two weeks).
A Single Tale of Two Bucks
Learning to play QB is hard in an iteration of the game. Football is a challenging sport the requires specialization in specific positions combined with athleticism. Playing QB in FPF presents it’s specific set of circumstances. There is no offensive line, you have often under 3 seconds to make a decision, the field is small so defences can punish you for making mistakes late, you need to reposition your feet and hips as your eyes uncover other reads to be open and you need to step in and throw a catchable ball whilst avoiding the rusher who is running free and bearing down on you. It’s a lot.
Lockdown’s new pivot Mike D’Addario has all of the arm talent you love to see in a FPF rookie (otherwise known as flag virgins). The dude is a legitimate flame thrower. On a personal note, I’ve played softball with him and I can attest his arm is truly next level. It didn’t shock me when Eagle told me that his arm was the caliber of division 3 and up. However, it did seem in their matchup with Tim Brandy, that D’Addario still has quite some to learn about playing the position. Between forcing sideline fades against 4-1 coverage to poor ball placement the offense struggled.
Shawn Fontaine was heavily featured in this offense but the 50% catch rate put these flaws on full display. In the team huddle is former QB Buck Aneer who, interestingly enough, has a similar play style that focuses on his arm strength. The difference is obviously the FPF experience so there is hope that having the two working together will lead to a flatter learning curve.
Michael Timmins has also struggled in the roster’s top seat. Timmins has thrown 13 interceptions in 5 games. The opening effort of the qualification round was no different. He threw an interception to Eagle and he had two other passes intercepted by Luke Emblem. In a similar situation Michael Timmins is a starting QB for the first time in his FPF career. In the Tim Brandy Huddle is Jared Buck. Buck rocked the long flowing locks back when Trevor Lawrence was picking his first zits in middle school. While the two former QB’s known as Buck did not score in this game Timmins was able to find Benjamin Bourque, Justin Santillo, and Etienne de Blois for scores en route to a 22-6 win for Tim Brandy over Lockdown

Musings, Rambling, Lies and other Assortments
- Y&Y’s roster seems to be set and it appears as though Gino Di Fazio has reclaimed the reigns.
- Emile Beaudoin is not the first weapon you consider when talking about Urgence Medic but his hat-trick of
- Kyle Rittenhouse is a piece of human trash and a murder but he may also be paying the prosecution given how terrible they botched the what should have been a slam-dunk of a case.
- Dylan Garber replaced Phil Cutler for KGP, unfortunately he couldn’t get the job done as they fell 26-22 to the Apocalypse
- Incredible thought, as logs burn they develop fists.
- Y&Y’s Marilou Cote Noel is the best rusher in FPF. There’s no one else who cuts as well at that speed as her.
- Three teams in Tier two scored 6 points a piece. The lack of scoring is disturbing but dudes also gotta make some
- Lockdown scored points this week, it’s the first time since week 1.
- I’ve made the realization that Trevor Lawrence is closer to his middle school graduation than I am from my University Graduation. Sh&^ I’m old.
- The Zodiac Killer leaving reviews on books about other serial killers and talking trash is the strangest, and most unnecessary flex of all time.
- La Secte’s Laurie Ethier is perhaps the most undervalued weapon in all of coed

For those who have any thoughts, commentary or complaints, I am very easy to find. I’m @peezehss on twitter, @pdellarocca and Peeze Della Reeze on facebook. You can also take a chance by emailing me at [email protected] but I don’t check it because it’s a death trap of junk emails all trying to sell me hair and penis growth solutions. I really need to use incognito mode. Please check out the works of my colleagues Alexi Dubois and Ignacio Valdez Manzenedo as the three of us are covering all of the fall league as part of a joint effort.
Remember that each week you can join the party on our Facebook page or at www.youtube.com/flagplus on our weekly podcast: Calling the Audible. We are still trying to figure out when the shows will be available and how to get it live on air.
