Under-the-Radar Playmakers Making Noise

While the league’s top players often steal the spotlight, several under-the-radar playmakers are quietly putting together impressive seasons. One of them is Marvin Steinberg of The IG Team, who leads the league in receiving touchdowns with 10 while maintaining a strong 12.8 yards per catch. He’s been a red-zone threat and a crucial part of The IG Team’s offensive efficiency.

Another one of them is Noah Groper of BanaNiceTry, who has been a steady force in their offense. With 27 receptions for 265 yards and 8 touchdowns, he’s been a go-to option in crucial moments. Groper’s ability to create separation and rack up yards after the catch makes him one of the more underrated threats in the division.

Another key contributor who deserves recognition is Marie-Joelle Vandal of The Merge, who is leading the entire division in extra-point conversions. With 3 one-point conversions and 5 two-pointers which includes one returned on defense, she has been a reliable scoring option after touchdowns, helping The Merge stay on top in tight games. Extra points often go overlooked, but with many games decided by small margins, her consistency has been crucial for her team’s undefeated record.

Teams Falling Off

Dominos (2-3) – A preseason favourite, Dominos’ defense has allowed 173 points so far, with 45 of those coming from Kiss My End Zone in Week 9. They face a tough stretch ahead, taking on Hooshmazoos in Week 10, followed by Plenty of Fish and The IG Team in Week 11. Sitting at 2-3 and currently holding the final playoff spot as the 8th seed, they can’t afford to lose all three matchups—or even two—if they want to stay in contention.

EZFun (2-5) – Despite a talented roster, inconsistency has been their biggest downfall. With five losses in their last six games, their playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. To make matters worse, their final stretch features matchups against The Merge, BanaNiceTry, and Dominos—making a postseason berth feel more like a long shot than a real possibility. If they don’t flip the script, they’ll be watching the playoffs from the sidelines.

The Playoff Picture: Who’s Safe and Who’s on the Bubble?

With only a few weeks left in the regular season, the playoff picture is shaping up, but nothing is set in stone. The Merge and The IG Team are sitting comfortably in the top two spots, but behind them, it’s chaos.

Plenty of Fish, despite their strong offensive output, are trending downward after a shocking loss to Fitsquad. Meanwhile, Pass Whoopin’ has quietly worked their way up to fourth place, showing they are not just here to compete, but to contend.

On the bubble, Dominos, Monarchs, and EZFun are all fighting for positioning, with Kiss My End Zone and Hooshmazoos hovering at .500. If any of these teams go on a late-season run, the playoff seeding could look very different in just a couple of weeks.

Dark Horse Teams to Watch

BanaNiceTry (3-2) – With an underrated offense and steady QB play from Jeff Rosenblatt, this team is flying under the radar. They could easily climb the standings in the coming weeks.

Kiss My End Zone (3-3) – With QB Jimmy-Lee Janvier leading the way, their offense has improved. Sitting at 3-3, they’re making a serious push for playoff positioning.

Plenty of Fish (4-2) – It might sound strange to call them a dark horse, but after falling to a Fitsquad team tied for last place, Plenty of Fish suddenly has some real question marks. What once looked like a powerhouse now comes with concerns.
