Tier 3 Finals Preview
Tier 3 Finals Week
After 14 weeks we have finally arrived at the final week of the 2024 Fall season. 24 teams embarked on a journey back in September to be the best team in Tier 3 in FPF this season, and to be the first team to win an official Fall Championship instead of the FPF Bowl that used to be in place. Here we are in December where only two teams remain and finals weekend is fast approaching. Before we jump into the action I would like to take a moment and congratulate all FPF teams that gave made the finals. Its a long and competitive road for all divisions to make the finals and even tougher win the final game and be the last team standing. I would also like to take a moment to congratulate all the Tier 3 season award winners and all the Tier 3 all-star selectee’s. The division was filled with talented and athletic players and the players who have been selected as all stars have been studs all season long. The all-star game will be played on Sunday, December 15th 3:00 pm to 6:00pm @ Complexe Multisports de Laval Dome. So if you have been named an all star this season be sure to pull up and participate in this fun event.
All-Star Selections
QB: Ryan Garber

DEF: Bakari Barrett
2-Way: Arnis Mehmetaj
2-Way: Sam Anastosopoulos
Rusher: Julian Mclaren-Thompson

Award Winners
QBOY
Mid-Season Prediction: Adam Malinoff
I think Adam Malinoff will win back to back QB of the Year awards as he is the touchdowns leader with the least amount of interceptions. Sure he only has 1 game left to play but I believe a huge game vs Brewers can cement his season stat line.
Adam Malinoff: 1672 38 tds 7 ints 55%
Fall 2024 Tier3 QBOY: Ryan Garber – Trapstars
2043 yds 47 TD 10 INT 70.8% 114.9 QBR
Ryan Garber with a career record setting season as he crushed his tds in one season record, which was previously 39. Garber lead the division in passing yards, one of the only 3 quarterbacks in all of Tier 1-4 to throw for 2000 yards. He led Trapstars to a long win streak and a 7-3 regular season. His impressive completion % shows how accurate he can be and to be honest I think Ryan Garber is going to be throwing in the higher divisions sooner than later. Unfortunately their season came to an end in the Quarter Finals as Win Diesel kicked them off 40-12 and is set to play for the championship this Sunday.
WROY
Mid-Season Prediction: Anthony Siggia
Siggia can end the season as the division leader in receptions and yards and has the opportunity to finish in the top 3 in touchdowns with a big week 9 game to end the season. This game will dictate the award. If siggia doesn’t score….he can see the award slip away.
Anthony Siggia: 647 yards, 13tds, 67 receptions
Still an All-Star selection for my guy Anthony Siggia!
Fall 2024 Tier 3 WROY: Cooper Young – Trapstars
69 rec 774 yds 17 TD
Cooper Young along with Ryan Garber were the engines of this offence as Cooper Young led the entire division with 69 receptions and 774 yards in 10 games. He also scored 17 touchdowns with was good enough for 2nd in the division under Nicholas Fon who scored 18. Other then being a big body, Cooper Young is everything you want in a receiver, secure hands, great at finding zones in defences and can run after catch with ease. This isn’t his first award and it won’t be his last. Curious to see what happens to TrapStars this winter.
DPOY
Mid-Season Prediction: Ariel Liberati
With a team as successful as the Process Liberati has been a main factor and a lock down defender. With two games left to play, one more interception seals the awarder him in my opinion. Unless Richie scores 2 more touchdowns then Liberati I don’t think he can catch him.
Fall 2024 Tier 3 DPOY: Ariel Librati – The Process
23 tkl 11 INT 5 PD 3 TD
This team has been the best defence all season and big part due to Ariel Literati who averaged over 1 Int this whole season. He also added 5 PD’s and took 3 of those Ints to the house. It was fairly easy to say that in week 7 when Liberati already had accumulated 8 Ints, that he would win this award.
2-Way
My prediction: Arnis MehMetaj
With only 5 games played and 3 left for Arnis, I think he wins the award when its all said and done. He has 423 and 12 touchdowns on offence. Nobody can over him as he averages a little under 100 yards and over 2 touchdowns in every game. He also gets at least 1 int a game so he’s been all over the stat sheet. His height and speed is unmatched in tier 3. As long as Arnis is present in the next 2 of 3 games, its his award.
2-WAY: Arnis Mehmetaj – Mixed Mambas
8 games played, 45 rec 542 yds 15 TD | 21 tkl 8 INT 3 PD 1 TD
A huge season for Arnis that sees him take home one for the most prestigious awards in FPF with only 8 games played. Like I said in my prediction, his height and speed is unmatched and he showed that every time he stepped on the field. 8 ints make him 2nd in the division only 2nd to Liberati. Arnis was also in the top 5 of almost all WR categories. If Arnis could have played those 2 other games, I wonder what his stats would have looked like instead. Either way Arnis had one hell of a season. If this guy shows up to the all star game….1st round pick alert.
Semi Finals Recap
The Process Dominate the Bandits in Semi-Final Clash
The Process cruised to a decisive victory over the Bandits in the quarterfinal matchup. Despite a strong start by the Bandits, The Process’s dominant defense and efficient offense proved too much to handle. The Bandits opened the game with a touchdown drive, but The Process quickly responded with a score of their own. The Bandits could not get a large lead as both teams scored twice in the first half and saw Bandits lead at half time 14-13. Out of half the Johnathan Perez and The Process offence marched down the field and scored to take the lead. From there, The Process took control of the game, utilizing a their strong offensive attack and a suffocating defense. Jonathan Perez was the star of the show for The Process, completing multiple key passes and leading the team to victory. 3 passing touchdowns, 1 interception thrown, 5 rushers for 47 yards and 2 interceptions on defence is a great way to lead your team to victory. His 2-way performance showed why they are the #1 seeded team in tier 3 and why they deserve a spot in this years finals. The Bandits’ quarterback, Émile Skaf, struggled to find a rhythm and was plagued by interceptions. The Process’s defense was outstanding, forcing turnovers and limiting the Bandits’ offensive opportunities. Their ability to get pressure on the quarterback and disrupt passing lanes was crucial to their success. Émile Skaf was only able to complete 10 out of 24 passes and was unable to create anything with his legs. In the end, The Process’s dominance on both sides of the ball was too much for the Bandits to overcome. 0 points in the second half was the biggest blunder for the bandits. With this victory, The Process continue their march towards a championship.
Win Diesel Shock the Jagerbombers, Advance to the Finals
In a stunning upset, the third-seeded Win Diesel defeated the second-seeded Jagerbombers by a score of 40-32, securing their spot in the championship game. This high-scoring affair showcased the offensive prowess of both teams, as quarterbacks William Sebag and Felix Gerin-Lajoie traded touchdowns throughout the contest. William Sebag was 16/22 for 187 yards 6 tds and Felix Gerin-Lajoie threw for 198 yards was 19/30 with 5tds and1 int. The Win Diesel’s offense was led by the dynamic duo of William Sebag and Giancarlo Rachella. Sebag’s accurate passing and Rachella’s explosive playmaking ability proved to be too much for the Jagerbombers’ defense to handle. Key plays from receivers like Gregory Depatie and Oscar McCavour also contributed to the team’s offensive success. The Jagerbombers, led by Gerin-Lajoie, fought hard but ultimately fell short. Gerin-Lajoie’s strong arm and ability to extend plays kept the Jagerbombers in the game, but the Win Diesel’s defense was able to make crucial stops when needed. Despite the loss, the Jagerbombers put up a valiant effort and showed why they are one of the top teams in the league. However, the Win Diesel’s ability to capitalize on opportunities and ability to win the turnover battle was ultimately the difference.
With this victory, the Win Diesel have secured their place in the championship game, where they will face the top-seeded The Process. It will be a tough challenge, but the Win Diesel have proven that they can compete with the best.
Finals Preview
#1 The Process (9-1)
Vs.
#3 Win Diesel (8-2)
The stage is set for a monumental clash between two football Giants in Tier 3. The #1 seed, The Process, will square off against the resilient powerhouse of Win Diesel, in the highly anticipated Tier 3 Championship. The Process, led by their athletic quarterback, Johnathan Perez have dominated the league all season. Their suffocating defense and efficient offense have made them a unstoppable force all season. With a close to perfect 9-1 record, they are the clear favourites to claim the championship. However, they cannot underestimate Win Diesel.
Win Diesel, despite their lower seed, have defied expectations and clawed their way to the finals. Their high-powered offense, led by a dynamic quarterback-receiver duo, has been a major factor in their success. Felix Sebag and Giancarlo Rachella have been essential to the teams offence and ability to move the chains. While their defense may not be as dominant as The Process’, they have shown the ability to make crucial stops when needed.
When looking at the Qbs, I would have to give the edge to William Sebag. Throwing 40 touchdowns and 1500 yards he has been a more effective passer. Despite throwing more interceptions then Perez I think his height and ability to evade rushers allow him to score points when others qbs couldn’t.
If I had to select a pair of receivers to play on my team, I would definitely chose The Process’ Ariel Liberati and Noah Groper. No offence to Win Diesels receiver’s but these guys can ball. They are both a top 10 receivers in the division and they just so happened to play together. Combining for 24 touchdowns these guys can do it all.
The Defensive edge clearly goes to The Process as they have been the #1 defence in Tier 3 all season. Allowing the least points against, the most interceptions and 4th down stops. The best rusher is tough to say as both Noah Groper and Felix Sebag have had great seasons so its tough to say who will have the edge but I absolutely think these guys have the ability to turn games around with big sacks.
This championship showdown promises to be a thrilling battle of wits and physicality. Both teams have the talent and the determination to win, and it is anyone’s guess as to who will emerge victorious. Will The Process continue their run and solidify their dominance, or will the Win Diesel pull off another upset, take down the #1 team and claim the championship title? I have had Win Diesel atop my top 10 power rankings all season. But I did not predict them to make the finals a few weeks ago. I did believe that the Process would find their way int he finals as their #1 seed and performances carried them. Its hard to make a prediction but I think Win Diesel finally wins their first season championship after winning the 2023 Fall Bowl. I think Win Diesel wins by a score of 30-29. I predict The Process defence to force 2 turnovers but Johnathan Perez won’t be without his own errors as well. A one score game guaranteed! This will be one of the most exciting games of the weekend and I can’t wait to catch it at 4pm at Laval!
