Week 10 Recap, Cooper Young & More!
Whats up Tier 3 and welcome to another addition of Tier 3 news and recaps. Already 10 weeks have been played in this historic season as we come to a close on the first official Fall season here in FPF. I know a lot of teams that are searching for their first championship would love to be the first ones to win FPF first fall season. The division still has some shaping up to do as wet 11 sees multiple teams play 2 games so I will have another article coming out for week 11. But first we got some storylines, recaps, power rankings and a game of the week. So lets dive in to Tier 3
Tier 3 Storylines
Cooper Young on Award Watch
After many solid performances and the connection between him and Ryan Garber is close to the best in the division. In 8 games Cooper has caught 55 passes, 600 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is close to passing Anthony Siggia (Division leader in receptions and yards), in all 3 categories as Cooper tied him in touchdowns already with 2 games to spare. With another two games to play I think Cooper can lead the division in all 3 categories.
Will Notorious C.I.G miss the playoffs
After a okay season Notorious C.I.G is on the verge on getting moved to the outside of the top 12. With only 4 wins and a tie on their record, teams like Penetrators and Tune squad can eliminate them if they reach 5 wins. My prediction is that Penetrators win at least one of their following 2 games and reach 5 wins on the season to eliminate Notorious C.IG.

Week 10 Recap
A Nail-Biter to the Finish: Black Shinobi Edge Out Mixed Mambas
In a heart-pounding clash of offensive firepower, the Black Shinobi narrowly defeated the Mixed Mambas by a score of 19-18. The game was a testament to the skill and determination of both teams, with each drive filled with electrifying plays and defensive standoffs. The Mixed Mambas started the game with a bang, their quarterback Michael Remy finding his receivers with precision. A highlight-reel touchdown pass to Arnis Mehmetaj gave them an early lead, showcasing the potential of their high-flying offense. Arnis is no strangers to touchdowns as he has tied the division with 15. However, the Black Shinobi defense, led by the tenacious Yvan Salomon, quickly adjusted. They forced turnovers, intercepted passes, and applied pressure on the Mambas’ offense, slowing their momentum. On the offensive side of the ball, Salomon was a force to be reckoned with. His accurate throws and ability to extend plays kept the Black Shinobi offense moving. Key targets like Jeff Gay and Clifdji Solon made crucial receptions, helping to drive their team down the field. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading touchdowns and field position. Every play seemed to hang in the balance, with the outcome uncertain until the final whistle. In the end, the Black Shinobi’s resilience and clutch performances proved to be the difference, securing a thrilling victory.
Jagerbombers Edge Out Tune Squad in a High-Scoring Thriller
In a thrilling back-and-forth contest, the Jagerbombers narrowly defeated the Tune Squad by a score of 40-37. Both teams showcased explosive offenses, with quarterbacks Felix Gerin-Lajoie and Garner Ross trading touchdown passes throughout the game. The game was a constant barrage of big plays, with both teams moving the ball up and down the field with ease. Gerin-Lajoie and Ross were on fire, connecting with their receivers for long gains and crucial touchdowns. Despite the high-scoring nature of the game, the defenses struggled to slow down the opposing offenses. Both teams had opportunities to pull away, but crucial turnovers and defensive stands kept the game close as interceptions, sacks and punts were all present. In the end, the Jagerbombers were able to edge out a victory thanks to some timely plays and a solid defensive effort. This game will be remembered as one of the most exciting matchups of the season.
Power Rankings
1. Win Diesel 8-2
Win Diesel have been my number one ranked season and it will stay that way until season end. They have ended their season on a 4 win streak. William Sebag ending the season with 40 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 10 games, very productive offence and and a great defence. Anything less then a semi final would be a disappointment for me.
2. Jagerbombers 7-1
7-1 already and the team with the highest chance to finish with the #1 seed this season. Their offensive production is second to none with 323 points for in 8 games. They get points on lots of 2 point converts so its difficult for teams to keep up.
3. The Process 7-1
The Process are a greta team but when comparing them to the the #1 and #2 ranked teams on this list I think the Process would struggle similar to their week 9 game to Notorious C.I.G a team that might be on the outside of a playoff spot soon. But their defence has been on another level with Ariel Liberti and company so maybe their offence doesn’t need to be outstanding to win playoff games.
4. TrapStars 5-3
A huge jump for TrapStars as they have caught fire with a 5-3 record. Their week 11 matchup versus Jagerbombers is something to watch and have a little preview of our Tier 3 playoffs. The arrival of Cooper Young is another thing rocketing this team in the power rankings. Can anyone cover Cooper.
5. West Island Boys 6-3
The Change at QB sure has done well for WIB as Skylar Bayliff has been slinging it with 17 touchdowns and only 1 interception. His connection with Jerome has deadly and to be fair A WR like Jerome in Tier 3 will be elite. A strong dark horse in this years playoffs.
6. Snowdon Deli Degens 5-4
Another bye week as Snowdon Deli Degens have already played 9 games so far. Their record isn’t impressive but their play is. Adam Malinoff’s ability to not turnover the ball is ideal. Having ended Jagerbombers their only loss of the season, they still belong close to the top 5.
7. Team Sexy 6-2
A lot of games decided by less then 6 points so I’m not sure weather to take that as a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe Team Sexy compete with every team and are good at closing out games with 6 wins so far. Or Team Sexy is allowing teams beneath their level of play still compete in games they otherwise would have blown out. Either way will stars like Sam Anastasopoulos and Andrew Steinberg, they aren’t a team you want to face in the playoffs.
8. Bandits 6-2-1
I love the way Bandits fight in every game and always bounce back after a loss. Emile Skaf has been playing like a top 10 QB and it shows in his stat line and in their record. Over 30 total touchdowns and one thousand yards the Bandits find themselves in a comfortable spot in the standings.
9. Team Ethnik 5-3
Unfortunately Team Ethnik fall once again in the power rankings as they have lost 2 straight. Their defence seems to be struggling as both their past opponents scored an total of 65 points. Two more games against tough opponents will determine if Team Ethnik stay in the top 10 after week 11.
10. Slippery Slopes 6-3
New to the top 10 its only right Slippery Slopes get their recognition as they have won 4 games straight and gotten their record to 6-3. A win against Mengoose in their last game would end the season at 7-3 which would probably be somewhere in the top 5. Tony Tabet has been protecting the ball with only 4 INTs on the season.
Week 11 Game of the Week
Jagerbombers (7-1) Vs. TrapStars (5-3)
Two of Tier 3’s most explosive offenses collide this weekend as the 7-1 Jagerbombers take on the 5-3 TrapStars. This matchup promises to be a high-scoring affair, with both teams boasting potent passing attacks and dynamic playmakers.
The Jagerbombers have been dominant all season, with their only blemish coming in a Week 4 loss to the Snowdon Deli Degens. Since then, they’ve been unstoppable, led by the stellar play of quarterback Felix Gerin-Lajoie. Gerin-Lajoie has been a dual-threat nightmare, racking up 36 touchdown passes and 1,245 yards through the air. He’s also added 145 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground, showcasing his versatility and elusiveness. His top WR, Thomas G-Lajoie who is top 5 in both receiving yards and touchdowns. But this team is full of pass catchers as they have 3 other receivers who have scored 5 or more touchdowns.
The TrapStars have been on a recent surge, and a big part of their success can be attributed to All-Star wide receiver Cooper Young. Young has been a force to be reckoned with, consistently making big plays and torching opposing defenses. With both teams possessing high-powered offenses, this game could come down to which defense can step up and make a crucial stop. His connection with QB Ryan Garber is potentially the best in the division. Ryan has thrown 38 touchdowns, 13 of them to Cooper. His bets stat all season has been his completion percentage which he has maintained at a 71%. They are also one of the best 4th down teams as they have converted on 65% of their attempts. I expect Ryan and Felix to both have 5 or more touchdowns.
This matchup not only has significant implications for the current season but also potentially sets the stage for a future playoff showdown. As two of the top teams in Tier 3, the Jagerbombers and TrapStars are poised to battle it out. I think the TrapStars will give Jagerbombers a great competitive game but I think Jagerbombers come out on top as they score many more converts then Trapstars, 43-36.
Thats all for week 10, be sure to check back this weekend for upcoming games and predictions.
