Top Contenders and Defensive Struggles: A Look at the Division Standings
1. DA Braves
- Record: 5-2-0
- Points For (PF): 277
- Points Against (PA): 165
- Points (PTS): 10
- Point Differential (+/-): +112
DA Braves are leading the pack with a strong point differential of +112, reflecting their ability to secure decisive victories. Their defence has been one of the strongest, conceding only 165 points over seven games, which has been a significant factor in their impressive 5-2 record. They are tied with Vengeance in terms of points but maintain the top spot due to their better differential.
2. Vengeance
- Record: 5-2-0
- Points For (PF): 244
- Points Against (PA): 210
- Points (PTS): 10
- Point Differential (+/-): +34
Close behind, Vengeance matches DA Braves in wins and total points, standing at 5-2. Despite their positive point differential of +34, I would like to see their defence be more successful as I consider them as potential champions.
3. Blessed
- Record: 5-4-0
- Points For (PF): 302
- Points Against (PA): 306
- Points (PTS): 10
- Point Differential (+/-): -4
Blessed has had one of the best offences all season with 302 points, however their defence has struggled all season as well allowing 306 points. Despite this, their 5-4 record keeps them competitive. Their high-powered offence needs to be perfect if they want to win games, at least that’s what it feels like.
4. KGP
- Record: 3-3-0
- Points For (PF): 154
- Points Against (PA): 179
- Points (PTS): 6
- Point Differential (+/-): -25
KGP sits in the middle of the standings with an even record. Their defence has kept them in a lot of games and if they want to make a playoff run their offence needs to step up. Of course Phil Cutler has missed some games so we can give them a slight pass on offence, but seeing as their defence has been great, it would be nice to see their offence tag along.
5. Run it Once
- Record: 3-3-0
- Points For (PF): 216
- Points Against (PA): 186
- Points (PTS): 6
- Point Differential (+/-): +30
Run it Once has been up and down throughout the season. They have had some games where everything went right and looked like real problems for the division, however they have also had some games where they couldn’t get a stop on defence or move the ball on offence. Consistency is key.
6. EZW
- Record: 3-5-0
- Points For (PF): 212
- Points Against (PA): 297
- Points (PTS): 6
- Point Differential (+/-): -85
Despite having three wins, EZW has a steep -85 point differential, the worst in the division. Their defence has conceded 297 points, the highest in the division. They’ll need significant defensive improvements going forward.
7. Dzod Team
- Record: 1-6-0
- Points For (PF): 142
- Points Against (PA): 204
- Points (PTS): 2
- Point Differential (+/-): -62
Dzod Team finds itself at the bottom with a 1-6 record. Their -62 differential highlights challenges on both offence and defence, having scored only 142 points. They were able to get a win against a good Blessed team so maybe they can build off that. They definitely have the athletes necessary to win in this division.
