One of the following cumulations will result in an automatic ONE WEEK suspension:
- 3 cumulative Objectionable Conduct Penalties
- 3 cumulative Unnecessary Roughness Penalties
- 4 cumulative Objectionable Conduct and Unnecessary Roughness Penalties [two of each]
Every 2 major penalties (OC, UR) incurred after the first suspension has been served will result in an additional 1 week suspension.
Please note that if a player plays on two or more teams, his major penalties are combined as a single total. (Example, Player X plays in both Division 1 and 4, he accumulates two OC penalties in Division 1, and one OC penalty in Division 4. His combined total of three OC’s results in a one-week suspension.)
Major penalties reset after the regular season for the start of the playoffs.
Objectionable Conduct (OC): The use of profane, obscene, insulting language or gestures to an opponent, official, or spectator by any player or occupant of the team bench is prohibited. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including spiking a ball or throwing it an opponent or official, directing the ball off the field in an objectionable manner, deliberately delaying the game or contacting an official, are also prohibited. There will be zero tolerance for objectionable conduct. *Fouls assessed for pockets or jewelry are not considered objectionable conduct.
Unnecessary Roughness (UR): Any deliberate and intentional physical action against an opponent, official, or spectator by any player or occupant of the team bench is prohibited. These include but are not limited to: diving in a crowd (with or without contact), punching, head-butting, shoving, kicking, elbowing and any other excessive amount of physicality.
Please note that any combination of two major penalties (OC/UR) in the same game will result in an ejection (e.g. one UR and one OC, or two of either.).
