Tier 2: Fall 2025
Last Updated: October 29, 2025, 13:45 UTC
We are officially in the home stretch of the regular season. Both Idaho Udapimps and Camping Boutin are running away with the division, as each team only has one loss. Flag Slayer Corp, Hard 8, and KGP Origins are tied with eight points each, while Les Verges Folles and Mangoose are bringing up the rear of the division, with two and one win respectively.
Here are the top seven questions that must be answered before we hit the last two weeks of the season.
1.What is going on with all the low scores?
Over the last four weeks, there have been a total of 13 games. Out of that total, there have been eight contests where either one or both teams have scored 30 points or less. With names like Brady Ohanessian, Marc-Andre Reeves, Phil Cutler, Daniel Mancini, Manu Allard-Roy, DonnDre Borden, Mathieu Lepage, and Justin White, Tier 2 is home to some of the best Quarterbacks and Receivers combinations in FlagPlus Football.
When looking at the first five weeks of the season, there were only three such games. Is this current pace just a trend, or simply the case of a few different offenses being stuck in mud? Could the outdoor games that wrapped up last week be the cause? No matter what type of football you play, scoring typically slows down as the weather gets colder. With four weeks remaining we will find out soon enough.
2. Will Mangoose be able to find their offense before its too late?
They are currently sitting at (1-5) and appear lost on that side of the ball. While the team did lose Marvin Steinberg this off-season, they did add Mack Dessources, and are getting a full season from the versatile Oliver Suri. Despite that, the results have been uninspiring at best, as the team has scored only 177 points.
The talent is there, as the chemistry with players like Quarterback Nic Schaefer and Receivers Thomas Coutu, Samuel Emilio Pelchat, and Gabriel Drapeau-Zgoralski. The team’s next four games have them playing Les Verges Folles, Hard 8, Camping Boutin, and Flag Slayer Corp. Three of those teams are in the top three of scoring, so perhaps the offensive struggles for Mangoose won’t be ending anytime soon.
3. Who is the most underrated player in Tier 2.
With me taking do long to put out an article (sorry about that) I have had the chance to take a long look at the division. There are quite a few players who can be the answer to this question. I am going with James Nguyen.
His numbers this season are more than respectable, as he sits second in receptions with 31, and fifth in yards with 256. Stats aside, he is tough, can play multiple positions, is a playmaker on both sides of the ball, and seems to get better each game. As we have seen the last few seasons with the ascension of players like Manu Allard-Roy, Adam Malinoff, Ahmed Boubacar, Felix Boutet, and Sanders Armand, who all started in a lower division, Nguyen, has started to develop the ability to put him team on his shoulders and continue to make plays even when teams know the ball is coming his way.
4. Which team is the current favourite to win it all?
If we look at the standings, Idaho Udapimps sits on top, with 12 points.
If you’re looking for statement victories, Idaho Udapimps has a 32-point victory over Mangoose, and a tough Week 5 win over Camping Boutin. When looking at the quality of their wins, they have shown us they can win a shootout, a defensive slugfest, or a blowout. Their only loss of the season came in Week 5 against a KGP Origins squad they had already beaten three weeks prior.
With games remaining against Flag Slayer Corp twice, and a regular season finale showdown with Les Verges Folles, there stands a good chance that Idaho Udapimps will finish the season with one loss.
If that were to happen, that would situate the team as the favourites in Tier 2. That’s fantastic, but what will matter most, is can this team handle the pressure and produce when the post-season begins. I think they can.
5. Which team has disappointed us the most?
Hard 8 has the deepest roster in Tier 2. With a team that includes Sanders Armand, Ben McMahon, Ahmed Boubacar, Daniel Mancini, Jeff Rosenblatt, and FPF Hall-of-Famer Paul Lapierre, they are not lacking speed, length, experience, or playmakers.
Unfortunately for this veteran squad, games aren’t won or lost on paper. That happens on the field, and Hard 8 has only recorded three victories. They technically had a fourth win as they beat Mangoose in Week 5, but a roster violation led to a forfeit.
Now that we answered the question, the more important issue is can Hard 8 play up to their potential and reel off some wins before the postseason begins. With games left against Camping Boutin and Mangosse, Hard 8 has a chance to add on to their win total, and potentially change their season.
6. Which team outside of the top two, is a legitimate threat to win the championship?
I know I just listed them as the most disappointing team, but Hard 8 is my answer to this question. They arguably have the most talent out of any team in the division. In addition to that, one of the major differences between this team and Les Verges Folles, Mangoose, and Flag Slayer Corp, is that they have a championship Quarterback in Jeff Rosenblatt.
KGP Origins has one as well in Phil Cutler, but his last championship was several years ago, while Rosenblatt reached the top of the mountain just last season. Add that on to the fact that Hard 8 has a deeper and arguably better roster, and you can understand why they could be perceived as a threat to win it all.
7. Who will win defensive player of the year?
Here are several names who are worthy of the award, as Tier 2 is home to some of the top defenders in the league such ads Ahmed Boubacar, Sanders Armand, Sam Anastasopoulos, Marvin Renaud, and a host of other difference-makers on that side of the ball.
With five interceptions and two of them returned for touchdowns in only four games played, Boubacar, is my choice for now. Just like a wrestling show however, the card is subject to change, as several players are hot on his trail. Check back in a week or two, and we could see a different name in this slot.
