Division 1: Week 7 Power Rankings feat. Sanders Armand

We are back for another Week of flag football in Division 1. With 3 games this week, teams are slowly approaching their mid-season point and what better way than to have the first power rankings of the season? Following my quick power rankings, I spoke with one of FPF’s popular players, Sanders Armand regarding his team’s performance and upcoming game against the 3-1 Fins Up. Before we get to Sanders, let’s go through my Week 7 Power Rankings.

Week 7 Power Rankings

1️⃣ PartyCrashers (3-0)

Being the only undefeated team left in Division 1, it’s hard not to put PartyCrashers in this spot. With the most points despite only playing 3 games, Jeanslee Alexis has been torching his competition. I do acknowledge that his team has not played any of the teams I have in the top 4 of this week’s power rankings so I think their true test is in Week 8 when they take on Braves. For now, they deserve to be number 1 and if they can pull off that Week 8 win, might stay at 1 for a while.

2️⃣ Braves (2-2)

Even with a 2-2 start, I can’t put Braves any lower. Their two losses were a shocking 2nd half collapse against Fins up which they would come back the next game against that same team to beat them by 34pts and their season opening loss didn’t have their number 1 QB Joe Maheu. I still think this team is the team to beat given their talent and resume, however, at this time, they can’t be higher than this until they get back to their winning ways.

3️⃣ Fins Up (3-1)

Definitely the surprise of the division is Fins Up, especially after a rough Fall 2025 campaign. They stand tied with PartyCrashers with the most wins so far at 3 and they even picked up a shocking win over Braves in Week 4. Will Power has been taking care of the ball with only 2 INTs in 3 games played and this team’s offence can score points if he is able to finish drives. I do worry that by the near of the regular season, how will this team look against the rest of the competition but for now, they have proven to be in this position in the power rankings.

4️⃣ The Infantry (1-2)

At this time, The Infantry can go as far as Kevin Wyeth can take them. He has unfortunately played in one game so far, the only game they won. They have lost both games that Wyeth have played. Do I think The Infantry is a top 3 team if every team was at full strength? Very possibly yes. At this point in time, they haven’t had their full roster, however, this can change in a few weeks and as long as Wyeth is consistently playing, The Infantry will be fine.

5️⃣ Vultures (1-2)

After a win over Braves in their season opener, Vultures have lost against The Infantry and PartyCrashers. Two teams who I feel highly of but have struggled against the top competition. Ben McMahon has done well on offence but with an INT in the past two losses, he knows that in Division 1, keeping the ball alive is sacred. Having Anthony Brisebois being a reliable two-way player with this talented roster makes it easier and with facing Fins Up and Royaume Luminiaire in their next two games, it can be a point to get abc on track for them.

6️⃣ OneStop (1-2)

It’s been a rough few games for OneStop because I know this roster well and they haven't had their roster fully. Ryan McNally hasn’t played a game for them yet, is he going to at some point? Charles Cossette and Jahnai Lewis have both missed games and that puts QB Michael Caparelli in a tough spot. Thomas Angelin and AJ Zeppetelli seem to be the only bright spots of this team so far but with the lack of consistency continuing with their roster, they might end up at the bottom fairly quickly.

7️⃣ Royaume Luminiare (1-1)

It’s been a rough start for Jesse Dupuis at QB this season. Even in their victory over EZW, 3 INTs is alarming and he already has 7 in two games. A talented veteran roster that includes the likes of Anthony Lapointe, Isiah Allard, Serge Pilon Sr. among others, This team has the capability to be better on the offensive and defensive end. They have only played twice which can be in their favor but if they want to be competitive, tightening up on both sides of the field is necessary.

8️⃣ EZW (0-2)

The only winless team so far in Division 1, I’ll give them grace as they only played twice. With that being said, they still need to play elite competition down the road. Jeremy White hasn’t had the greatest start but with EZW, if you take them lightly on any given night, they can score 40+ and win a game against the best of them. They won’t go winless but if they want to get a better seeding for playoffs, wins need to come sooner than later.

Quick Chat with Sanders Armand

Through your first three games, what have you liked most about your team’s performance? What’s been working well — both as a unit and individually — and where do you still want to improve?

Our defence! We added Anthony Brisebois, “Clark Kent.” He’s doing a great job calling the defence. The guys are flying around and communicating at a high level. Individually, same old, same old. I’m trying to be at the right place at the right time — “make a play before they do.”

With a matchup against Fins Up this week, how do you break down their offence — especially when preparing for a familiar QB like William Power?

Will is a smart quarterback. I guess we have to confuse him — throw different things at him, force him to throw into tight windows, and stop him on converts.

3. DonnDre Bordon has been a big play threat. What’s the key to containing him in this matchup?

Speed, speed, speed! Just knowing where he’s at. He can take a drag to the house. We have to rally tackle. When he runs his famous skinny post, we have to communicate and pass it on to the next guy. If we play man, it’s a “don’t let it be you” mindset.

4. Your QB Ben McMahon is leading the division with a 77% completion rate. What have you seen from him early this season that’s allowed him to elevate his game even further?

Beeeeennnnnn!!! He’s been more confident, to be honest — but this started last season. He has control in the huddle and he’s cool as a cucumber.

Closing Remarks

For those who don’t agree with my Power Rankings, I’m happy to be proven wrong. This week will include 3 good games which can start to change the landscape of these teams’ seasons.
