Division 4A: Week 6 Recap and Week 7 Fantasy Football
We are back in Week 7 for another set of solid games in Division 4A. Last week we only had 3 games so the majority of teams were able to rest up ahead of a packed week 7. As of now, Trapstars, Snowdon Deli Degens and Nut N’ Run are the only undefeated teams remaining. On the contrary, Team Ethnik is the only winless team in 4A after two tough losses in week 6. We have another segment of fantasy football with Ball Hawks’ QB Richie Mondesir later on. For next week, we will introduce the team reviews as teams will be approaching the half way mark by the end of this week.
Week 6 Recap
Snowdon Deli Degens def Team Ethnik 41-29
At the break, Team Ethnik was down by a single point but even with Snowdon Deli Degens’ QB Adam Malinoff being sent off for 10 plays, Team Ethnik were not able to capitalise and would be outscored 19-8 in the second half. Benoit Lawlor would throw for 230yds and 4 TDs but with 3 costly INTs (which not all were his fault), it’s hard to win a close game with that. In comparison, Malinoff and Sam Anastasopoulos would combine for 5 TDs and zero INTs. Mathew Fixman would be the beneficiary of both QBs with 9 catches and 2 TDs. When Team Ethnik was driving in the second half, a pick-6 by Adam Lieblein put the game away. For Team Ethnik, Denzel Eadie-Lowe was a brightspot as he was able to stretch the field with 3 catches and 85yds along with 2 TDs.
Ducks def Black Vipers 31-24
A close game as Ducks led at the break by one but a last second effort was defended by Antoine Chabot on the final play for the win. Chabot would throw for 196yds along with 5 TDs. The duo of Étienne Chabot and Raphaël Lebeuf would combine for 13 catches, 144yds and 4 TDs in the win. For Black Vipers, Mathis Coulombe did his best to match his adversary with 227yds passing and 4 TDs along with an INT. Hubert Fecteau would score in the dying minutes, however, the convert to tie the game was unsuccessful which allowed Ducks to waste time on the clock and would allow Lebeuf to score with only seconds remaining. Still with life, Didier Brisebois would catch a 30yd pass and make the last play manageable where as mentioned earlier Chabot would break up the winning play. For Black Vipers, this stings as this is their second tough loss this season and Ducks advance to 4-1.
Are You Not Entertained def Team Ethnik 39-24
The final game of Week 6 would have Are You Not Entertained get their first win of the season over the winless Team Ethnik 39-24. It’s been a tough start for AYNE as they haven’t found any consistent QB play and even with the win, who will be their QB next game. Samuel Omombo, a very smart QB was able to throw for 198yds and 5 TDs in the win. The offence was spread as each TD was from a different scorer and Nathanael Dinku stood out especially with 3 INTs including a pick 6. For Team Ethnik, it was a tough watch as Lawlor wasn’t able to connect with anyone, mainly outside of David De Andrade who had a game-high 11 receptions. The speed of these other teams in 4A have proved to be a problem for Team Ethnik as it doesn’t look that they can disrupt a team’s offence, whether from sacks, INTs or big defensive plays. They had a successful Fall 2025 and I wonder if they can get that spark back as they have the offence to compete with most teams in this division.
