Obsidian Leads the Way as Women's Division C Builds Toward Something Bigger
Women's Division C · Midseason Report
Six Weeks In, Women's Division C Is Building Something Bigger Than the Standings
Obsidian sits alone at the top, Run Like a Girl is right behind them, and a pack of teams in the middle keeps trading close results. But the real story of this division might be everything happening below the scoreboard.

Worth mentioning before diving into the results: Women's C is, on average, a younger group than some of FPF's other women's divisions. A number of players who've gone on to represent Team Canada came up through divisions like this one, and it's a reminder that some of the names below could be on a similar path in the years ahead. Keep that in mind while reading through the team breakdowns and stat leaders that follow, because a few of this season's standout performers may look a lot more familiar down the road.
Around the Division
Obsidian (6-1)
Obsidian has separated themselves from the pack with a defense that has been difficult to move the ball against all season. Laeticia Dorismond leads the division with 9 interceptions, and the unit as a whole has kept opponents well below Obsidian's own scoring output. On offense, Gabrielle Gibeault has been one of the most productive targets in Women's C, with 39 catches and 9 touchdowns on an outstanding 90.7 percent catch rate. Obsidian's only loss came in Week 1 against Run Like a Girl, and the team has not lost since. Follow the team's season at @obsidianflagfootball on Instagram.
Run Like a Girl (5-1)
Run Like a Girl has put together one of the most efficient offenses in the division, and the numbers back it up. Adele Nadeau leads all quarterbacks with a 97.0 rating, completing better than 57 percent of her attempts with 13 touchdowns against just 5 interceptions. Marine Verdy has been a reliable complement, averaging 16.0 yards on every target. The team's only setback of the year came in Week 6 against Obsidian, a result that will carry weight when playoff seeding is decided.
Les Valkyries (3-4)
Les Valkyries have leaned on individual talent at both ends of the field. Elyane Garneau leads the division in attempts, completions, and yards, and her 16 touchdown passes are the most in Women's C. Heidy Garneau has been her most-targeted receiver, appearing in all 7 of the team's games so far. On defense, Elizabeth Jubinville has been disruptive in coverage, breaking up a division-high 8 passes to go with 4 interceptions.
Lionnes (3-4)
Few storylines in the division are as encouraging as what Lionnes have built. This is a program that finished the Winter 2026 season without a win, starting from nothing and absorbing the growing pains that come with it. This spring, that same group has already banked 3 wins, including a three-game winning streak through the middle of the season. Anissa Djouhri has been a defensive playmaker throughout, with 16 tackles and 2 defensive touchdowns, while Elodie Giroux has thrown 7 touchdown passes. It's a reminder of how much can change in a single season when a group commits to the work.
A-TOWN WHITE (2-2)
Having played fewer games than most of the division, A-TOWN WHITE has still managed to post some of the best per-game numbers in Women's C. Nisrine Bahtaoui and Marguerite Voyer Flores each posted quarterback ratings above 95 in their appearances, and Maeve Fréchette-Cohen's debut produced a 111.0 rating with 4 touchdown passes. With a plus-28 point differential in just 4 games, this is a team that has made the most of its opportunities so far.
A-TOWN BLACK (1-4)
A-TOWN BLACK's lone win came in the divisional opener against A-TOWN WHITE. Katryne Bilodeau has taken on a heavy workload under center, throwing for 4 touchdowns despite being sacked a division-high 12 times. With several close scores mixed in among the results, there is a foundation here for the team to build from as the season continues.
The Rock (1-5)
The record doesn't tell the full story for The Rock, particularly on defense. Ella-May Dupuis leads every player in the division with 27 tackles, showing up week after week regardless of the scoreboard. Émiliane Luneau's one appearance under center produced a 95.0 rating and a 66.7 completion percentage, a sign of what this roster is capable of when things click. The team's win over Les Valkyries in Week 6 offers a positive note to build on.

Looking Ahead
Whether it's Obsidian's continued unbeaten stretch, Lionnes turning a winless season into a three-win campaign, or a group of younger players putting up numbers that could carry them into Women's A in the years ahead, Women's C has given plenty of reasons to feel good about the season's midpoint. Players from this league have gone on to represent Canada on the national stage, and based on what's shown up in this division through six weeks, it would not be a surprise to see some of these names follow that same path, provided they keep working and growing the way this division has shown they're capable of.
