Division 5B: Player Spotlight featuring Guillaume Raeppel ahead of Week 4
Hey everyone, we are back for another week of flag. Even though it’s still early to tell, there have been some nice performances as of late and these players and teams will strive towards a strong rest of the season. We do have our first player spotlight and I will introduce him shortly but before that, I’m bringing back fantasy football for this season. I’ll outline the rules below and I’ll be against the FPF community each week which can showcase the best players within Division 5B. Starting next week, I’ll be competing against the FPF community towards building the best fantasy roster each week. For a little preview, here’s what the scoring will look like for the season:

I will have to abide by the Division 5 team caps, here are my criterias:

Player Spotlight: Guillaume Raeppel
For my first player’s spotlight, I wanted to highlight a player that was seen to be underrated. After contacting the captains last week and hearing their input, I decided I wanted to hear from Guillaume Raeppel, a young player from the 2-0 Les Mangeux de Beignes. Let’s get to knowing who he is!
For people who don’t know you yet, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Guillaume Raeppel, I’m 17 years old, and I play Division 1 football at CEGEP St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. I’m a passionate player who puts my heart into everything I do.
What do you enjoy most doing on the field?
In football, I play receiver, so I love making contested catches and breaking tackles. In flag football, I enjoy the smaller game where I can make a big defensive play like an important sack, or come up with a catch for a touchdown on offense.
What kind of teammate are you?
I'm highly driven and a teammate that pushes himself and others, but I always manage to keep a smile and have fun while playing with my teammates.
What do you want people in this division to notice about you?
I want people in the division to see that I’m a reliable receiver who can make catches in big moments, and also a strong rusher who has an impact on every play—whether it’s getting a sack, forcing the quarterback to change their read, or batting down passes.
What’s something about you that might surprise people?
That I’m actually a pretty quiet and calm guy who doesn’t talk much, but leads by example on the field.
How would your friends describe you off the field?
They’d say I’m someone you can count on, always fully invested in whatever I’m doing. I’m easy to talk to, love laughing and having fun, and I’m a simple guy who people genuinely enjoy being around.
Closing Remarks:
There you go for 5B and I wanted to thank Guillaume for allowing not only myself but the rest of the league to learn more about him. We’re heading into Week 4, and things are just getting started. I’m also playing in this division this season, so I’m looking forward to lining up across from some of you and competing later on. Should be a fun one!
