Co-Ed 3: 5 Players to Watch out For
Hi everyone! For those who are new to FPF or haven’t been introduced to the articles yet, my name is Keyon Cyrus and I’ll be covering Co-Ed 3 this season.
I’ve never covered a Co-Ed division before and I’m excited to see the talent across the board. Co-Ed 3 features nine teams this spring and will crown a new champion after Dreamkillers decided to take the season off following their championship victory a few weeks ago.
Even though I’m more familiar with covering the men’s divisions, I know several players and teams throughout Co-Ed football. Instead of focusing on teams this week, I wanted to highlight a few players who might not always get the spotlight but can have a huge impact on how the season unfolds.
Luca Ruel - Flag Me Daddy!
In his first season with La Bittt à Tibi, Luca Ruel put up remarkable defensive numbers. He finished tied for the league lead with 9 interceptions, added 2 pick-sixes and recorded 4 sacks.
In many divisions, that type of season is enough to win DPOY or at least earn an All-Star selection. In Co-Ed 3 last year, somehow it wasn’t.
I had the chance to scorekeep several of Luca’s games and he’s a genuine game changer. Coming into Spring 2026, it looks like he’ll be taking on quarterback responsibilities for his team as well.
Flag Me Daddy! fell just short against Michael Scott’s Tots in Week 1, but Luca looked solid under center. I was honestly excited to watch him continue as a defender this season, so it will be interesting to see how he handles balancing both roles.
The early signs are promising. He already showed off his athleticism with 74 rushing yards in the opener. If he can successfully manage both sides of the ball, he should be one of the early favourites for Two-Way Player of the Year.
Sabrina Renaud - Back That Pass Up
How Back That Pass Up ended up in Co-Ed 3 after reaching the Co-Ed 2 semifinals last season is a question many people may be asking.
Regardless, one player who probably doesn't get enough recognition is Sabrina Renaud.
Sabrina has spent most of her flag football career in Co-Ed divisions and this season marks her fifth with Jason Rossie and Back That Pass Up. Her statistics may not always jump off the page, but some players contribute far more than what appears on the website.
I’ve watched Sabrina play and what stands out most is her leadership. She’s vocal when needed, constantly encouraging teammates and always looking to improve. I've seen her support teammates after mistakes and watched them respond because of it.
Defensively, she’s willing to play wherever the team needs her and consistently brings energy to the field. Even if she doesn't see a high volume of targets offensively, Rossie knows she’ll be ready whenever her number is called.
Jennifer Pérusse - Michael Scott’s Tots
Michael Scott’s Tots are another team that many people probably expected to see in a higher division.
With experienced men and women throughout the roster, this group should find itself near the top of the standings alongside teams like Back That Pass Up.
Jennifer Pérusse first caught my attention while I was filming her team during the winter season. Quarterback David De Andrade quickly developed chemistry with her and it resulted in Jennifer leading all female players on the team with five touchdowns.
What really stands out, however, is her defensive impact.
She’s constantly around the football, tracks plays well and limits extra yardage after catches. I've seen her make several impressive tackles in open space and she's never afraid to sacrifice her body to make a play.
With the talent around her and a team that genuinely enjoys playing together, Jennifer could be in line for a breakout season.
Charles Grenier - LysMoiLeFlag
Charles Grenier may not have many FPF games under his belt, but I’ve played against him in the past and watched him suit up with Les Super Turbo Navets over the last few winters.
Simply put, he’s dangerous whenever he touches the football.
Charles isn't the biggest player on the field, but he makes up for it with speed, agility and the ability to make defenders miss in open space. He's the type of player who can turn a short hook or drag route into a touchdown before defenders even realize what happened.
I’m not entirely sure whether he’s a full-time player for LysMoiLeFlag or if he was only subbing during the opener. If he remains with the team full-time, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more performances like his Week 1 outing of 3 receptions, 60 yards and a touchdown.
Co-Ed 3 is always a division where hidden gems emerge and Charles could easily become one of them.
Victor Bouliane - Phantom Troupe
I briefly stopped by the Laval fields last Sunday and saw Victor Bouliane making plays all over the field.
To be fair, Victor was already on my list before the game even started, but seeing him live only reinforced why.
Every reception he recorded ended up being a touchdown as he finished with three scores. On the defensive side of the ball, it felt like he was constantly around the action regardless of who was throwing the football.
Victor only has 13 FPF games under his belt, but much of his experience comes from outside the league. Having recently played with Collège Maisonneuve under Jeremy White, he enters this season with a football background that immediately stands out.
Along with Charles Grenier, Victor is one of the newer names that I believe could make a major impact in Co-Ed 3 this season.
Closing Remarks
