FlagPlus Football uses the following tiebreak criteria to resolve any deadlock in the standings of the FPF Cup.
TO BREAK A TIE BETWEEN TWO TEAMS
If two teams have the same amount of points in the standings, the following steps are taken in order, to break the deadlock
1. Number of wins
2. Head-to-head, if applicable.
3. Qualification Round Pool, if applicable.
[only used if two teams in separate Qualification Round groupings are tied in the overall standings, the team in the stronger group will win the tiebreak based on a harder schedule]
4. Points Allowed
5. Point Differential (+/-)
6. Strength of Schedule (cumulative record of opponents)
7. Coin Toss
TO BREAK A TIE BETWEEN THREE OR MORE TEAMS
If three or more teams have the same amount of points in the standings, the following steps are taken in order, to break the deadlock and place the teams in the proper order.
1. Number of wins
2. Qualification Round Pool, if applicable.
[only used if three or more teams in separate Qualification Round groupings are tied in the overall standings, the team(s) in the stronger group will win or narrow the tiebreak based on a harder schedule]
3. Points Allowed
4. Point Differential (+/-)
5. Strength of Schedule (cumulative record of opponents)
6. Coin Toss
Please note that winning percentage amongst tied teams in three-team deadlocks, or +/- within multiple matchups (when teams face each other twice) are not used in FPF.
