RULES REVIEW FOR WINTER 2010
Monday December 7, 2009

The following rules have been added to the Winter 2010 Rule book.

On the extra point only, if the defending team intercepts and returns the ball, and the last man back from the original offensive team prevents him from scoring by committing a penalty (i.e holding, roughing) the extra point (1 or 2 points) will be awarded to the intercepting team. Depending on the penalty, penalty yards may be added on the ensuing drive.

If a player is caught with any alcoholic beverage on the sideline, the official will immediately eject the player from the game. Refusal to comply with the official will result in a forfeited loss.

When a team is missing players to begin a game (minimum six players to start), rather than allowing five minutes for the team to arrive and then awarding the opposing team the win, seven points will be given to the present team for every five minutes after the intended start of the game. If by halftime, the opposing team is still short of six players, the game will end 28-0. (Previous forfeited victories resulted in 14-0 wins).

Once the snapper is set, the rusher cannot switch sides.
